Great idea. My wife and I drink it straight up at times for dessert. It’s great and If you think of it as a dessert drink, the purists might be able to accept and enjoy it. I tried to make bacon infused bourbon once…didn’t work so well. This is a better alternative.

My favorite was Jim beam vanilla. It’s is the reason I am into whiskey today. But since I got into whiskey I haven’t drank flavored whiskey and I haven’t had Jim beam vanilla in years. I should try it and see how I like it now

Fun & funny episode! Will have to take your word on Crown Peach - after a horrid experience with Peach Schnapps years ago I can't do anything peach in drink form! I like Skrewball mixed with a variety of mixers for a dessert drink. Or use as a sauce or in a sauce with brownies, ice cream, etc. Not a fan of just drinking it neat!

My favorite flavored whiskey is Wild Turkey American Honey Sting. Least favorite is Dickel Tabasco. I tried some Mexican hot sauce with Dickel 12 and the part with hot sauce was actually worse somehow than Dickel Tabasco. Which is hard to accomplish.

Knob Creek i just discovered. Omg I really like it. Tweak it just right for an old fashioned. Fireball meh. I started with it but moved on to Big Hot which is much cleaner and smoother. Def mix with soda. Skrewball with a splash of cherry coke the way to go. Crown peach with lemon juice, peach schnapps and peach iced tea a delight.

Kudos for u guys subjecting yourselves to these syrup-bombs. My only complaint was as others have suggested, u should have poured them all into a glass at the end and chugged it! 😂. My fav flavored whiskey is Crown Royale Maple, unfortunately they stopped making it.

Best flavored whiskies on the market are Starlight BlackBerry whiskey and anything from a company called Standard Proof in Nashville. They source good rye from a Tennessee distillery and infuse the flavors using real ingredients so it’s not massively sugared bs.

Aval Pohta, which is only available at a few McMinnamin's locations in Oregon, would probably be considered a flavored whiskey as it is a mix of whiskey, spices, and apple cider, and it tastes really good. Tastes like apple pie.

I've had a bottle of crown green apple on my bar for years that somebody left here and I've always stuck my nose up at. Earlier this summer I decided to throw it on ice and try it. I was pleasantly surprised, it doesn't drink like whiskey but it does drink like candy. I want to try their caramel next. I will have to try the knob smoked maple nut as well lol In college my go to mixing whiskey for coke was Jim beam's red stag I should try some of that on ice too but think it will be better as a mixer.

I haven't tried the Crown peach yet, but I've had the Apple and the Vanilla. The flavoring tastes very artificial. To the point where after a few sips, I just dumped it out and couldn't continue drinking them. I also had the same problem with the various flavored Jack Daniels offerings. (Tennessee Fire was the best of the bunch) For me, Jim Beam has the best flavored whiskeys. Just picked up a bottle of KC Smoked Maple last night, and it's fantastic! Although the extreme sweetness will prevent me from drinking more than a pour or two per day.
