@Zelmel6 ай бұрын
"ganbare" vs "ganbatte" is that "ganbare" is imperative form, so it's a command, where as "ganbatte" can be used that way but is way milder, so it's more "do your best " compared to "TRY HARD(ER)!"

Chris has what gym people call fat guy calves. Calves are notoriously hard to built and ex-fat guys who slim down usually have calves that pop, from years of carrying their weight.
@stephanieok53656 ай бұрын
Fat guy calves are flipping toned. 😮🎉
@ManiX2076 ай бұрын
its pretty much genetics - you dont get big calve s without haveing the genetics for it - like for me i build leg muscaels insanly quickadn also have quite a fast definitionoon them as well - whilst my torso builds muscle alright but in a way way more normal matter - and though i also might carry a some beer fat - its by far not as promienent
@Anngrl696 ай бұрын
I was curious if he may have flat feet like I do and running without the correct shoes and insoles caused my calves to overcompensate and become pretty defined. But if there’s a term called fat guy calves, it must be a phenomenon lol
@lynda.grace.146 ай бұрын
Naw. It's due to the calf muscle structure which is genetic. Some people's are long and slender, others' are short and bulky-looking with a spectrum in between.

unfortunately same, but big girl calves 😂 while i'm medium sided now my calves aren't and i still can't get in any cute boots lol

@drallagon6 ай бұрын
The text on the medal is "mora ton agis", I did some research and it seems to be pretty much gibberish lmao. "mora" is a spartan military unit, "ton" is genitive plural (indicates possession), and "agis" could be either a common king's name or a place's name. It seems other spartan races have "mora ton" and other names instead agis. If you use Google Translate with Modern Greek the translation comes out as "babies of the earth". I also tried latin because there are similar words there, and it kind of made sense: "You are doing a ton of work" lol

Alright, hot tip if you are actually gonna do the 21k in Niigata: Enter the competitive heat instead of the open. A couple differences you get that way, first its a fresh course, so you get clean obstacles compared to what everyone else gets later. Second, less congestion. Stuff like the wire crawl is significantly better without 500 people ahead of you (same for the spear throw). Third, the penalty is a penalty loop instead of burpees, which is honestly easier IMO. Finally, you get to start earlier, and when it comes to running up a mountain every minute you can start earlier is gonna help getting finished in time. Anyway Ima try to train up for that as well, and hopefully see you there if you go for it.
