Hi Billy. First, I am so happy that the chapel at the convent will be getting an organ. This looks to be just about the right size for a chapel. I am an organist here in the USA, and worked for an organ company when I was in college. You have a tracker action organ. That was the action that was commonly used before electricity made it possible for the console to be one place and the pipes in another place. I'm really happy that you have Michael, Ryan, Simon, Alex, and several other people there helping you. The people at the Cathedral have been very generous in giving you this instrument. I'm glad that you started the Go Fund Me page for them. Please give all these people a big hug for me. I think you are all the most wonderful people in the world. Take care, and safe travels. Greg PS The part you called "the lungs" is called the "bellows."

As someone who also thrills at the idea of new projects before I've finished my current ones, I tip my hat to you on this one. Very impressive. Just to throw in my unsolicited 2 cents: If your duck tape is anything like what we have in the states, I recommend replacing it with painters tape as soon as you get back to the convent (at least on the timber pieces). If you let the adhesive set for too long, you run the risk of tearing the wood fibers and/or leaving a stubborn residue that can be a nightmare to remove. Maybe our duck tape is inferior to yours and it's a non-issue. Just something to consider.

A few years ago a friend rescued an old Hammond Organ and it ended up in my house ... in the process I learned a bit about the situation for church organs, that so many just end up being demolished along with the churches they were part of. It's shocking how many have been lost, as even if someone could save them there's nowhere to put them. So few of them have survived. So that makes this project even more valuable and needed. I love how calmly you have gone about this, where most people would be tearing their hair out ! Well done and thank you for giving this incredible piece a new home to live on. I think your new motto should be " Keep calm and crack on" 🙂

The Cathedral is sooo magnificent. The gift of the organ and music sooo magical. LOVE and THANKS. Miraculous - The Lord works in miraculous ways. The genius of conception of the organ in the first place, master craftsmen who made every bit of it. The Convent getting such a wonder - the spirit of those Nuns and all associated historically with it must be joyful beyond measure. Wonder of Wonder. LOVE

It’s amazing how much innards in a church organ there is. This organ will be fabulous in the convent chapel once it’s all put together. I hope the organ can fit into that truck, it looks like it will be a very tight squeeze. It’s so wonderful Billy you have so many helpers too. Keep Cracking on.❤❤❤

What a wonderful crew, God bless you all. So excited to help the Cathedral with the new organ. Thank you Billy that we may bless them as you have been blessed.

Billy, you said that you didn't realize just how big the organ was. Those old pipe organs are incredible instruments and really precise. Alex is doing an incredible job with the filming of the dismantling ! really beautiful work! Now the really tricky part will be cleaning and, letting that old dry wood rest in its new home, and then putting it all back together! can you imagine christening the chapel at Christmas with the sound of that pipe organ? oh my goodness! ❤️❤️❤️
