it makes it a hell of a lot harder for people who work full time and probably have families to take care of to break out of their normal eating habits and eat healthy and also not go broke. tom brady has to be healthy for a living and he gets paid millions of dollars for it. besides much of the accessible and familiar recipes that taste good and don't cost a lot are not super healthy. eating healthy is a challenge that takes time, money, and education a lot of people don't have much of, and it becomes a bottom priority if you're struggling to make enough money and support family.

nutritionfacts.org/video/how-much-fruit-is-too-much -> Added fructose/sugar is a problem. Fructose from fruit is not a problem. Here's the research on how much fruit is too much: "Fruit is beneficial in almost any amount" as the Harvard Health Letter says. No need to worry about quantities really.. (Assuming you haven't doused it in oil or salt and so on?) They did studies on this.. The research study described in the vid put people on 20 servings of fruit (a day?) and researchers reported no adverse effects (and possible benefit) on weight, blood pressure and insulin and lipid levels after 3 - 6 months. They did another study with 20 fruit servings + 44 veg servings (a day?) and same thing.. These guys did have the biggest bowel movements ever recorded (lots of pooping haha) in a dietary intervention though!
@bluesuedeswede2041

Brooke Fitzwater yes but they probably can only have one since apples contain fructose. fructose is one of the two compounds (the other being glucose) that make up white sugar
@Xrayballer88
@Xrayballer88 6 жыл бұрын
I mentioned this in an about thread, but chemically, most sugars are basically the same, even what people keep calling, "natural sugar." What makes fruit healthy are the vitamins and fiber that accompany its sugar without excessive calories, but the sugar itself is no healthier than your table sugar.

I'm sure he didn't switch up his diet from one day to another. He got there step by step, that's what makes it easier. I bet he started with "more veggies and only lean meat" and then added the "no salt" "no added sugars" gradually, that's why it's sustainable because it were always small changes for him, so no big deal. Once you make it a habit, you start craving specific foods that fit your diet and it's no adjustment and sacrifice at all.

Unless his issues are with the cultivation of mushrooms or an allergy, there's literally no reason not to eat them. I can sort of understand avoiding nightshades because they can aggravate joint problems, which is a very valid concern for a past-his-prime quarterback. But for the general population, the health benefits greatly outweigh the very minor drawbacks.

I actually follow a similar diet. I did so religiously for almost a year before adding some foods back to my diet. I am going back to a similar diet, with additional restrictions as of this week. I have medical problems that make a diet like this essential. I cannot eat at a restaurant, unless it's a specialty restaurant. I follow the FODMAP diet. I don't have a chef, and myself or my husband eat very well. It's not as difficult as it seems, but it does require an adjustment period. I admittedly fell off the band wagon for a while as I was struggling with something, but ultimately I feel better when I eat this way. I actually have more energy and an overall better mood. Experimenting with recipes and ingredients keeps it interesting. 😁

Yassin Ocean I know this was awhile ago but fasting for 20 hours isn't a good thing. After about 18 hours, your body can fall into a catabolic state, which means it starts using muscle for energy.

The majority of people in the industrialized world is so addicted to processed food, that you make his diet seem ridiculous. The man avoids pesticides and herbicides in his food, as we all should. That's not “there’s no way anybody could follow this", but rather how can you not have common sense to aim to eat this way. His diet is 80% plant based and based on latest medical research the only way to prevent stroke and cardiovascular disease is having your diet be plant based combined with low fat intake. Eating animals is basically eating cadaver and while people seem outraged by his diet, please remember next time you eat a sausage, it's no different than eating road kill, your dog or cat and on the top of it, it has to be processed with chemicals in order to keep "fresh". Again, use common sense. Your fruit goes bad after a week if not eaten, yet your processed meat and dairy products don't and somehow that is more appealing to eat?! It pays off to keep you unconscious and desensitized.

Woah! Carrots are loaded with sugar! That's what you get after your body breaks down carrots into energy. You might as well just be shoveling tablespoon-fulls of sugar into your mouth. Look, even the baby knows this diet is crap. Wait! That's Jordan behind the camera. She produced this one? Okay, I get it now. This is her revenge served cold for these guys putting her in a bathtub full of soda and Pop-Rocks. Well played, Jordan. Well played...

lettuce, avacado, cucumber, carrot, apple chunks (said organic foods), fresh pecans, and a bit of olive oil, sounds like a damn fine salad to me. oats with fruit in the morning sounds great, water through out the day to keep away cravings. Bunch of fruit so I don't need to go out for lunch. Dinner would be hard though,

PSA: IODINE IS AN ESSENTIAL NUTRIENT. It is added to table salt because you can't obtain it naturally. A deficiency of Iodine causes thyroid problems such as goitres. Please anyone who is watching this; do not remove iodized salt from your diet.
@100nitrog2

Actually, you can get iodine from seaweed and shellfish, so you don't necessarily need iodized salt.

You're totally right but they added it to table salt because people were getting goitres in spite of that fact. I'm just making the point to say that sure, having high amounts of sodium isn't good for anyone but I don't want anyone to start ridiculously cutting iodine out of their diets because of this video.

Show me a video of Tom Brady with a six pack and pushing 300 pounds lol. But for real, there are a lot of models who are fit and who do have noticeable abs. A lot, not all, female models eat right and exercise to stay in shape. There are cases where they do starve themselves, and I am totally opposed to that as it is a health risk. Otherwise, most female models are living a healthy lifestyle.
