Honestly, Whataburger is my favorite burger joint. Those In and out people just dont understand that what they keep talking so highly of is just a generic version of Steak and Shake. Literally indescernable in flavor, looks, just in and out is much more stripped down menu wise. Once ya got a Whataburger right next to an in and out burger, the choice is obvious.

I live in Knoxville, Tennessee. I drove to Birmingham, AL just to eat a Whataburger one time. I had ate them before and was telling my friend how good Whataburger was. For all the non southern folk, I highly recommend whataburger. It's our pride and joy in texas and so damn good, easily one of the very few places I can never get tired of. My usual go to meals are the patty melt, no onions or the #2 with cheese, and swap mayo for mustard with toasted buns. The sweet tea is great, the shakes are great, love my whataburger.

Here in Houston, there are quite a few whataburgers that take real texas pride in the quality they have, from the food, to the service,. Still serving JUICEY burgers full of sweet" i need a napkin, its dribbling down my arm!" goodness. I can't say i've never had a better burger...but as fast food goes, it is the best Texas staple of burgers. Shout out to our favorite whataburger spokesman..Mel Tillis! RI.P.

@@soria4735 You're wrong either way. In-N-Out is way better than Whataburger. Whataburger basically tastes like Carl's Jr/Hardee's with McDonald's fries. In-N-Out is the only fast food chain that uses real potatoes for their fries. I guess you just prefer potato paste over real potatoes.

I tried whataburger three times1.once I bought a whataburger for me and a friend and he got beef and I said to the clerk where's the beef and thru the buns.2.I ordered a combo with all the fixings and received it and he said we do not allow mask,and said didn't you read the little sign.3. The regular Whataburger burgers are good, but where Whataburger really shines is with their specialty burgers like the Patty Melt, A-1 Thick n' Hearty, Sweet and Spicy Bacon Burger, Mushroom Swiss burger, Pico de Gallo burger, etc.

They're opening some Whattaburgers in Spartanburg, SC. One is near where I do my shopping. I'll wait until the month after it opens, wait out the rush. Then I'll get a burger and fries there, decide for myself. Side note: the best place for fried chicken is at Publix, in this part of the country. Fast food situational awareness.

I had in and out for the first time (in New Braunfels, TX). And I say you can't compare the two chains. Completely different. In and Out seems to the point and focuses on simplicity. Whataburger on the other hand gives you so many options it is crazy. Just look at the app and order a burger. That being said, the basic whataburger with fries and a shake is better than the meal I had at in and out. But like I said before, they are totally different styles.
