Just went back and watched the Dodge Ram video again. If she tries to sue you, looks like to me you have a great case to counter sue her for defamation and slander for her FALSE negative review. The only time she was on camera she was well behaved, but on the phone she was a total KAREN acting up. She has no right to privacy on YOUR property or in public. Great video and teamwork as always. I’ve had a truck we pulled off a hill just like that, the answer was to send a few guys up with some wood telephone poles that were about 12 feet long and a few feet wide. We dug 4 holes and buried the poles at 8ft deep. Used those to hold the truck from rolling away and used the others to anchor our winch to. It was a massive job and cost almost what the truck was worth.

The big box truck: Wow. Good call by the way. I had an almost identical situation in a fire truck (I work for a large city in AL) where we lost our brakes coming down a steep grade. It was a new residential development on a mountain. Mechanics from our city shop looked at it, determined a Heavy couldn't pull it out without the truck taking off down the hill. Mechanics had to make the repairs to the brakes where it sat, then we drove it down. It was a big deal, but that was the only option available. And yes, when we lost our brakes everyone in the cab was praying out loud, calling out to God, a probably soiled our britches lol.

Andddd that right there is how cameras protect you. If the camera was being used in an illegal manner and or if she had the right to NOT be filmed, then no officer would be wearing body cameras. First, truck wasn’t on her property or hotels. It was on a property that you are required to be on for work so I would assume the owner of that property would confirm that as well. Second, she got to YOUR Property, already void. It’s your property, she can cry as much as she wants. Third, she was parked illegally 🤷‍♂️. Y’all keep doin your thing, love the videos!

Sometimes the simplest solutions are the easiest (on the Honda). The Box truck is a job best suited for a dozer or some sort of construction equipment with a winch.. possibly a short medium duty could do the job but definitely will need an anchor in front. Good job knowing your limitations. With the right rigging and time I'm sure you could do it but the price would be outrageous and would take all day.

A snatch block on a taut line across the road (high tree to low tree with a strap stop) would have done the trick for the box truck, but that requires a ton of rigging and a decent amount of know-how. It is something we had to deal with in the military when recovering HMMWVs and 5-tons. Without the proper rigging and the knowledge, bowing out was definitely the right move. Love watching your videos and your attitude and communication skills are phenomenal! Let the haters hate all they want, but continue being you.

I think that box truck would best be removed using a piece of construction equipment. Perhaps a dozer could get around it (or make clearance for its self). A dozer is not near as susceptible to damage from the brush. Of course a wheel loader may be a better choice cause your not going to trailer in a piece of equipment.

He's planning a trip to Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge; of course, we reminded him to pay to park! Nice unique lift work on the Honda. The Datsun would be a long restoration job. Your state has some incredibly beautiful scenery! Simply brainstorming here --- About the box truck: get a post hole digger and put 3 or 4 6x6 posts on the uphill side of the road and uphill from the truck. Attach straps around each one, combine them. Run a super long line uphill to a suitably strong tree. Wind another strap around the left rear tire(s) and the axle. Find a 20 or 30 ton come-along. An inflatable bag could be put under the differential to take a little weight off the left side tire(s). Put the come-along to work. If there's a disaster, you' may lose some straps and a little hardware. Your truck is not involved. Just a wild thought!
