I'm with you. I really don't understand America's fascination with tiny SUV's. I think it's just herd mentality. Wagons are just much better at everything except running over curbs accidentally. Oh, wait... Now I know.
@whatchis11202 жыл бұрын
Agree it is herd mentality, but also from a safety stand point typically they are safer depending on who makes them. The safer and less injuries a car has the cheaper the insurance. Is a Wrangler safer than a GLE absolutely not, is it safer than a cla250 since it weighs nearly double, depends on the situation. But I personally would drive a large wagon like a E class any day of the week over a GLE or GLS, unless I need a towpig.

I allways use the AMG Transmission Mount A2122401018 (about 50€ over here in Germany), it got 3 Anchor points instead of 2 (the Blackseries Mount, is fully rubbered and super expensive compared to Originals or Lemförder, 130-200€). Wagon = Best daily!

Amaaaazing set up, love it. Be very interesting to see how the trans holds up with the increased power/torque. Perhaps taking regular samples checking for oil and clutch break down over set mileage to track how it's going?
@KingofInterns2 жыл бұрын
The trans is good for about 700hp and about 770 ft lbs. With these engines it is the torque that becomes the limiting factor as it is so high. Above 700hp the torque is too much for trans to handle. TT V12 used same box and was detuned to keep torque in check. The 7-speed was not strong enough so they used 5-speed until about 2012 for the engine!
