Off gross definitely means you should not be using ANYTHING modern. No internal combustion engines, internet,electricity no matter how you get it. Are they supposed to go back to the stone ages and not use metal tools? Off grid to me means NOT TIED TO THE GRID. As in water, electricity or internet. But they can always go somewhere else to upload a video. They could even get starlink. That isn't grid tied.
