We Used a Body Lift to Fix The Associated Accessory Products Equipped Lexus GX460 We Messed Up!

A few weeks back we were given a brand new Lexus GX460 by The LEXUS Central Area office for the installation of some parts from their Associated Accessory Products line - Preapproved aftermarket accessories, backed with a warranty, that you can wrap right into the price of the vehicle. Now having done some more creative projects with the central office in the past (pictures and videos of the LC and LX) they also wanted to know what we could do that would make this GX a little more exciting. Now if you watched our other video you know we had a tight deadline to not only get the accessories installed but also get a set of 35 inch tires to fit. Now the 35’s were our “touch” to try and get some more attention for this build. The body mount chop, bumper cut, fender liner trimming, and alignment left us with minutes on the clock before Lexus’s event. And when we left for our drive, lets be blunt, we messed up.

Great video. A 1" body lift is a great solution and small enough it shouldn't cause any problems. The issues everyone always talks about are the bodyblift kits from the 80's and 90's where people were doing crazy amounts of lift to the point of double stacking frames. Very well executed product here. Keep up the good work and keep thwle videos coming.

The GX is awesome. They are more or less a fancy 4Runner with a V8. The older Gen GX470 can be bought pretty cheap, cheaper then a 4Runner. If you want to build an awesome, relatively inexpensive 4Runner, start by buying a GX470. The 4.7 V8 in the older GX is a great engine. I have an LC100 with that engine, and at 250k on the clock it still runs mint.

While there was some additional pull because of the spacers, it seemed within the area of adjustment and “stretch” of the affected components, anything more and I’m sure more work would be necessary.

@FluidMotorUnion awesome! I used to work for Lexus as a diagnostic tech, and anytime we needed regional support, we went there. They usually have prototype vehicles in the back. It was fun taking a LS600HL to Jimmy's for lunch back in 2006, or the ISF.
