I’ve heard two things about custom exhaust from the older generation. The closer that you put the resonator/muffler to the motor, the more it’ll reduce drone, and that a single large exhaust will flow more efficiently than a true dual exhaust. I’m wondering if these are just urban legends or is there any truth to these theories?

Worst sounding car I ever heard was the V10 M5/M6 with a catback exhaust. Sounds like ass no matter who did it and BMW folks will gaslight them selves in to thinking it sounds good. Then I saw the video you guys did on it and it was crazy. That’s how it should sound. 👏

worst exhaust note i've ever heard was a 3800 series II supercharged engine in a pontiac fiero. barely any room to build a good exhaust and it just doesnt have that "high performance" sound, they sound terrible in the donor cars as well. Second would be about any subaru 2.5L thats been straight piped or only have the straight through muffler.

i struggle to understand where those 2 pipes come out from to create 2 in 1. So 1 out of the 2 is from the Down Pipe, the second one of 2.. where is that one coming from? I tried to google but .. not much luck

Authorized Fi chiller installer here from south florida. Why are you using the eaton fittings when all Fi kits use the burgaflex hose and fittings and clamps? Did Kirk send you different items? Also hard to tell from the video, but it looks like your sensing bulb from the txv is in the wrong spot and just a note, that extra dryer is there to act as fluid reservoir for the additional refrigerant to protect the brick and the compressor.

Yea my biggest hurdle for building or just fixing my car is definitely money, and im not one to buy cheap knock off parts cus that usually causes more problems then just dishing out the cash for a good product.

You can never make the s58 sound good. That uneven exhaust pulse alignment due to the unequal length exhuast makes it sound so bad. Needs an equal length exhaust.

This is cool as hell and love how that exhaust sounds like those old school screaming vipers. I just replaced mine with a full cat back 3" and love it for mine since I don't have anything wild like that and don't have a need for quite as much sound or tonal shift. My little sporty hatch actually growls now without the stock exhaust lol
