Those designs were not bad at all. I am glad Chalres mentioned he will/might use it as an initial draft where his team can work on. It shows that AI can be used in the process of designing things for setting up a base line. As a (nature) photographer I am not afraid of AI. For now AI images/designs are still clearly AI and when AI comes to a point it is hardly or even not visible anymore, there will always be people that want the "real deal" (be it photographs, paintings, design etc). It very well might be the case that AI will make "human made" more valuable than it ever was.

I completely agree!

doing all this when there are thousands of artists willing to design a helmet for him is just a shameless marketing attempt and is an insult to all the beautiful helmet designs and designers
@Stelassin4 ай бұрын
Exactly, as an artist myself I wouldn't even care for any credits or price, I'd do it for free if it meant he's gonna wear it. This generative AI crap just keeps infecting every industry.
@DarthSid0004 ай бұрын
Well a lot of developers put a lot of effort into designing/tuning the algorithm/model. Why is their work not valuable and beautiful? Why is their work considered an insult and yours a beauty?
@tom.developer4 ай бұрын
During our conversation it was also mentioned that this is a great way for him to create an initial concept when he has an idea, but he did say he would still work with Adrien and his team to refine the concept and make it a reality. AI is just there to help kickstart the ideation process for non-design people in this scenario. And I think Darth Sid’s point is also valid, the researchers that work on the models that produce these designs also work very hard. This will always be a topic of discussion 🤔

@@Stelassin Ah, so you are one of the people that has potential clients tell me they will pay in exposure... thank you so much....... You are a big help to the community. At least this AI setup is going to paid artists to work out further.

@@DarthSid000 but what about how those developers are just stealing the artist's work without their consent or compensation to put in their algorithm? how is that fair to the people who put in the years (or even decades in some cases) it takes to develop their skills? yeah sure developers make the software, but that software does nothing but steal people's work.

SUBTITIES!! Thank you. I was expecting not very good helmet designs so i was surprised when they came out alright. This AI is definitely a good baseline for designs though (for the unartistic or those who can't afford designers) But then you can add human personal touches or tweaks. Like I'm usually against AI art and stuff but i can see how this can be useful!

There are two ways of pronouncing his name, the Monegasque and international one and he accepts both. He will often use the international one cause it's easier to understand for fans across the world. Search for "how to pronounce charles leclerc" and you'll see a video of him from his Alfa Romeo era pronouncing both ^^
