What happened on October 7th was awful but that does not give Israel the right to kill thousands of innocent people, which in any case will only increase support for Hamas, rather than end it. Nor does it give Israel the right to behave beastly towards the Palestinians and build settlements illegal under international law. And YES, the other awful things going on - the Saudi bombing of Yemen, the killings of Christians in Nigeria, and so on - also need to be the focus of international attention and to forthrightly condemned as well.
