Life lesson no. 16: Be nice to cast members without any expectations of extra fairy dust. That's just basic good manners and being a decent person. Even if you don't get any extra magic, you still did the right thing, for the right reasons. Good karma!

You'll want to stay at grand floridian. Period. High end restaurants right there, adult themed resort. If on honeymoon there I wouldn't even bother with the parks except one day for fireworks and Cinderella royal table dinner. Request a window table can watch fireworks from right inside the castle while eating. Met alot of celebrities while working there. Definitely the most fancy, nice experience for adults you'll find anywhere in Disney world. Look into it cause they definitely have amazing wedding/honeymoon packages to make it even more special like dinner for two in private gazebo next to lake during fireworks for example

Great food (no characters, though) or the Brown Derby [there's a "lady" who comes by and wisecracks and is a real hoot! - not a typical "character" but she's really fun for adults].

The best thing about character dining is when the characters are able to create magical moments for/with you. In my experience, it's usually the fuzzies that do this the most as they need to be more expressive since they can't speak. I've had Stitch try to feed me at the Ohana breakfast after pouring syrup all over my food. He didn't ruin my meal by any means as he knew I was done eating beforehand! As a kid, I also received a drawing of Donald from Dale at Garden Grill that he drew there at the table which I believe I still have somewhere. Goofy has also teased my best friend for leaving the table to go to the bathroom right before reaching our table. She hadn't realized that he was at the table next to us when she left but Goofy took offense to this and sat in her seat until she returned as well as chiding her and placing her autograph book on top of her head after signing. There have been more little moments spanning many trips but these are my favorites and the ones I remember the clearest.

Also I want to say something really magical that happened on the Disney world trip I just got back from this weekend. We went to the sci fi drive in theater without a reservation. When you go there without a reservation, I have done it a few times before, you just get a regular table and not the cool car table. We asked if they had the car table available and they said they book up months before hand. When our name was called and we followed the person who called our name they brought us to the car table and I got super excited. I asked them, I thought it was all booked. The CM said: “Mickey wanted to make sure you received the best seat in the house” because the car tables were in a better location in accordance to the movie screen. This is why I love Disney world. Also btw, I went to dinner at Golden Oaks because one of my mom’s best friends lived there and I promised myself I will live there when I’m older and go to Disney ALL the time since now I live just outside of DC so I’m not the closest. One day... wish me luck!

Best character meals we have done have been Ohana (a family favorite) and the Garden Grill. Also, some of our favorite meals have been quick service or counter service restaurants. We love grabbing a counter service and snack in every country in Epcot and sharing them. It's fun and that Disney Magic gets my picky eater to try something new. Love the video. @@thebunnyfoofoo when were you last there? Three to four years ago I'd agree wholeheartedly but lately the food and service have been inconsistent. My family and I went in January and the food was terrible in fact 2 of the 4 entrees we had were cold like they had been precooked and refrigerated, but someone forgot to pop them in the microwave. Thankfully customer service was fantastic and comped the dishes but at that price point diners shouldn't have to worry if their meals will be edible.

Love Tusker House. Had an amazing experience with our family there.

Unless they have changed again, you might want to revisit Tutto Gusto - they have stopped the "wine cellar" schtick, at least as of Dec 2018, and are featuring a heavier, more traditional menu, with reservations strongly suggested. Think an extension of the original. In fact, we actually asked for an appetizer _only_ available in the main room next door, and since we were early in the day, we were happily seated in the "patio" of the main room and served our preferred appetizers and wines by the glass.

I worked at Chef Mickey's 4 years ago as part of the DCP and I completely agree not its not the best food. I will vouch for tusker house because there's a huge variety there and it's always delicious. However I've never been to Garden Grille.

The smaller & lesser know restaurants are like a little hidden disney magic. They are so much better. Also a little hidden fact from a Cast member that I know. They use the smaller hidden restaurants for training new Mascot members. So if you go there & see a Disney character just know they were recently hired.

They use smaller restaurants so the trainee isn't swarmed by kids & people.

I live in the Kansas City area, and we had a T-Rex Restaurant for a long time, as well as the Rainforest Cafe. I remember many birthday parties at Rainforest for my sister... It closed down years ago... and sadly, T-Rex closed down within the last couple of years as well. I was really sad. Yeah the food wasn't amazing, but it was worth the money and the experience. My favorite table at our local one was down at the bar area with the giant octopus stretched out. There was a table with a giant jellyfish encompassing it. I thought that was super cool.

I’m going to Disney for one day (magic kingdom) and it’s been stressful trying to figure out how to pack everything into one day because I’ve been to Disney a few times and have SO many favorites. You should make a video on how to make the most of one day in each park! It would be super helpful and interesting!

Check out touring plans website. I highly recommend going before opening to get through security and that way you can "rope drop" or be one of the first guests on the ride.

Also at the boathouse restaurant at Disney springs you can eat on a small boat. I was eating there out on the dock and saw 3 people dining on the small boat. It didn’t leave the dock but it will still cool looking.

Coral reef was brill for the aquarium view but we thought that the food wasn’t all that. Boma was amazing, the food was so good. We’ll definitely try Sanaa next time we go. Ohana is a must! We went for evening meal and loved it.
