I have a question all the other youtubers havnt answered but as your xbox based maybe you will, there has been absolutley no information regarding the xbox version of msfs 2024 coming out of that event accept replay mode is coming, are there any things you're aware of that wont be in the xbox version? Eg the new tablets in all aircrafts, the new in game flight planner, game modes etc would really appreciate an answer if you have one thanks

I have a RTX 4080, wanted to upgrade to a RTX 4090 because of VRAM limitations i experienced while maxing out settings in MSFS 2020. Now the I see the ideal specs calling for a RTX 4080 with its (only) 16 GB. I am aiming for very wide detailed views... My question : Does the new Sim make use of more then 16 GB when settings maxed? Or is the VRAM usage reduced because of the cloud processing and the increased usage of system ram. THX 💙

No, the performance will be very bad. When XSX have hardware like PS5 Pro still running bad. Must play on high end PC.

Great question and thanks for watching! We only had hands on with a PC version at the preview however one thing that stood out from the devs remarks and interviews was how comitted they were to making it accessible to as many situations as possible and given how well Flight Sim 2020 converted to console and the constant updates it received its promising

How are the airliner landings and turning while taxiing though? Something that content creators have failed to ask about is the CONTACT POINTS. If Microsoft and Asobo have not sorted out the contact points for multi-wheeled main landing gears, I will not buy. I want a proper A330/A340 landing gear physics. When a 747, 757, 767, 777, 787 touches down, I want to feel and see the aft rear wheels on the bogeys (fwd pair on the 767) touch down first, before the other pair touches down. We have every single content creator talking about the same stuff on the same days like clockwork yet no info yet on whether the airliners will co.timue to slide sideways while turning on the taxiway due to incorrect contact points.

Specifically this is referring to how large the map downloads from the cloud will be along with whether or not there will be a rolling cache.

probaly not as much data as you think, firstly a lot of textures would be the same, trees, objects,roads, water would obviously repeat and can go in the cache on top of that , say you flew as the crow flies, then you just really need a narrow corridor of high detail data and LOD the medium and far distance down, lessening the data the main data that would need to be downloaded, but also would be small in comarsion is DEM, map data. Sure there are distinct terrains esp in the US, but a couple of sandy,rocky, greeny ? textures covers a big part of the US If you have unlimited data not an issue, i doubt a flight would be in the 10's of GB, more like low single digits GB's a 3000 mile trip might sound a lot of data, but think about unique models, textures it has to grab, i.e many autogen buildings will be the same in NY, Chicago and LA, same with the textures. So the data growth would not be linear , a 1000km trip would not be double the data as a 500km one, maybe it's 10% more data dependant on the location and route Also core , common textures, models i suspect would be part of the base install anyway, i.e water , tree textures and so on btw i am a cloud professional , IT bod saying that this is how i hope 2024 is designed. core textures, models part of the main install. Cloud for map data, unique textures , buildings on route. Even the global map 3D data should be part of the core install, depends on how big that is , probaly more than 50gb, so might not be possible

Didn’t Ubisoft get into questionable reputation taking content creators for the Star Wars release on trips & Microsoft is taking content creators to a Grand Canyon trips. The prices are pretty high for this next version & many features not in release edition, wonder if release is a bit rushed out for this year? Although new market place, UI & features will be welcome for addition for many. Hoping it all goes well for the Nov release.

I think Ubisoft were investigated but don't think they got into any real trouble AFAIK. Although, they have a habit of easily getting out of trouble situations. In the UK the pricing is a bit higher but still in the same ballpark as 2020. The differences between the versions are larger if I recall correctly but the standard is £10 cheaper I think. There's far more aircraft with the newer versions at launch compared to the 2020 versions, so that makes up for it a bit. Of course, there is the Aviator edition but that's only for the most hardcore and IMO, a waste of money.

@@Elwaves2925 yeah I guess I meant in trouble as reputation and look 👀 I suspect msfs 24 standard will still be the main one purchased - maybe aircraft will be better but most of the standard aircraft & challenges simmers/pilots avoided due to how bad they handled, most stick to the high fidelity 3rd party planes but see a few good ones are included in the new versions so that’s good. Interesting to see how it performs.

I don't need all the extra aircraft when I won't use most of them but I can understand why others might, especially if any favourites are in the higher priced versions.

Don't forget city building details, I do not hype much for MFS 2024, I think the building still look paper when closer to the ground and the night city look dead like MFS 2020 and too dark.
