Tbh I like this movie because it deals with the views of time. People think Time steals moments from them, a villain but its far from the truth. Plus I love how evil the white queen can be but she hides in the shadows

It added a lot of nuance to the characters too. Much like time people are ever changing ever capable of both good and bad and not stagnant.

I love both movies. What I particularly loved about this film was the origin of Hatter, Mirana, and Iracibeth. If you remember that in the first film, Mirana had taken a vow to never harm any living creature. This film answers that she took vow out of guilt for not being honest and how this one act of deception caused more damage than a rift between her sister. Now I’m not saying Iracibeth is excused for her actions; I’m merely pointing out that neither Queen were pure hearted and that maybe if Mirana had not lied Iracibeth might’ve not became corrupted by her obsession to make her sister tell the truth. As for Hatter, I loved how it he practically was a reflection of Alice as both had refused to end like their respective parent. It only took something horrible to make them feel remorse about never getting the chance for reconciliation. 👩🏼‍🦱🎩🐇🦋👸🏼👸🏽♟♥️⏱

Yes, it's true. But I would say if Iracebeth became so evil was because Mirana never told the truth or apologize to her. What happened between them is a typical siblings' thing but if Mirana told the truth after the accident, their parents would understand
@dcemerald70
@dcemerald70 15 күн бұрын
@@a.g.demada5263 exactly the point! Even if she had told afterwards and they talked to Iracibeth, maybe she wouldn’t taken it so personal and tried to be better. However Mirana never told the truth at all, and Iracibeth’s obsession for her sister’s deception led to her becoming more corrupted as well as facing torments for her physical appearance.

@@dcemerald70 plus, we can see Mirana crying when she sees her sister was hurt, and it shows us she regrets but without the context, we could think that back in the castle, she'll tell the truth to her parents and apologize.

@@dcemerald70it seems her parents favored Mirana over her as well especially since they didn’t even defend they’re daughter being laughed at when her crown broke from her head being big.

@@ACinemafanatic I can understand that. That’s why Mirana should have definitely told the truth even if it was late, she could have told them or at least stood up and reprimanded the entire court for laughing at her sister.

I always liked this movie more than the Tim Burton one. James Bobin was more a fan of the original stories which definitely showed, this one felt much more true to the world of Alice in Wonderland. The visuals were more beautiful, the story was more interesting and unpredictable, and I thought Mia's performance as Alice was better. Admittedly the story was kind of all over the place but in a way that makes it more in line with Lewis Carrol's style, and the lesson of appreciating the time you have is a very good one 💙

Hi Tim and Mal i really love Alice though the looking Glass its a fantastic sequel My only problem is that we never got to see the queen oh hart never really faced the bad things she did because she did a lots of awful things to insect people even if the queens sister forgave each other i don't think the people of wonder land would forget what the queen hearts did to them

This one got a lot of hate since so many have said it’s worse than the first Alice in Wonderland movie, nobody wanted a sequel, and Tim Burton isn’t even attached to the project. But, in my opinion the only good thing that came out of this movie was P!nk’s Just Like Fire which was head bopping when I first heard it.

So let's go over this together. The whole thing putting the plot in motion is "The Hatter's sad and we have to cheer him up." So with Witch Anne Hattaway's blessing Alice messing with the Space Time Continuum to fix the Hatter's past. Keeping Time from doing his job and everything is near ruined because Alice can't let things be with a totally pointless scene of her an in Mental Institution and escaping so even when she comes back again they should have arrested her. On top of all of that you have the Queen of Hearts forgive her sister for eating the tarts. Say remember all those decapitated heads Alice climbed over? It's okay because she forgave her for eating the tarts. Remember that frog servant who the Queen set to be killed who will never see his family again? It's okay because she forgave her for eating the tarts. Remember that an entire war took place where tons of people lost their lives? It's okay because she forgave her for eating the tarts. So that makes it all okay. The only good things thus film has are the colorful production design and the character of time, but it is still really really bad.

I personally disliked the ending because of all those things, and also Alices mom deciding "Yeah, never mind you selling the company/ship, it's cool." I sort of liked the idea that she learned to let go and chose her mom over her own self, but maybe that's just me.

I've already mentioned how several people were not fond of the 2010 movie. However, this sequel is a colossal mess, throwing in waaaaaaaaaaay too many ideas. And apparently, they make this film mostly about the Mad Hatter, and try to explain his origins. But why? He was so uninteresting in the 2010 movie, so should he be now? Because it's Johnny Depp, and he's so easily marketable. Ironically, this film underperformed at the box office compared to its predecessor.
