Inside Job is an adult animated comedy about Reagan, Brett, created by Alex Hirsch and Shion Takeuchi. Netflix loves there bad funny cartoons like Paradise PD and Big Mouth, but this Rick and Morty inspired show kinda CHANGES everything. Today on Spilling The Milk we react to one of the craziest shows on Netflix. Reaction we watched inside and its acutally funny?? Season 2 or part 2 Is out now

I find it kinda funny how in the first episode, Reagan despises Brett while everyone else likes him but after a few episodes, she's probably the only person that genuinely likes him while everyone else is annoyed by him or only tolerates him for superficial stuff like his looks.

Uhmm, can we please talk about how amazing the intro is for 'Inside Job'? A rocking bass that's syncs with each scene change, doesn't give any clear indications or any spoilers but more or less a sneak peak of the world building. I personally believe a shart snappy intro is better than like a fill minute one that most other shows do.

@Epicene It's the emotional connection to the character that makes them so hot. Sadly most female characters are made with just looks in mind and character comes second, or male writers don't know how to make them human instead of just 'character' or are afraid to make them have unpleasant traits. There's so many lovable asshole male characters but female characters don't get that same treatment, when they're unpleasant they're relegated to the "bitch" role and that's all they're allowed to be after. So when they're actually written well, like a human, with unpleasant traits but still a *person* with other emotions, are more than just their body, people can actually connect emotionally with the character and develop a crush rather than lust after them. And crushes are so much more powerful than just plain hornyness

The 80s town episode showed the potential of Gigi and Andre. Usually they are major stereotypes. Gigi a black stereotype and an internet obsessed stereotype. Andre being the movie party Asian stereotype. In the episode they didn't have much access to their vices. So you end up seeing a more human side of them. Since there was a lot of story set up I how season 2 expands on them.

What kills me about the shows is that a lot of jokes felt well researched and not just slapped on for cringe humor. As an aspiring counselor, I got a lot of the mental health jokes and laughed at everyone. They especially handle the mental health of the chars very efficiently. I'm not too surprised about the lack of Gravity Falls crossover. Remember that Gravity Falls is owned by Disney. At best I think we can look forward to indirect references to Gravity Falls.

It also did well enough in popularity to get a second season a year later so it's not doing too bad. Sometimes, being hugely popular where literally everyone is talking about it kinda ruins stuff like this anyways.

I do agree that whether you love or hate Brett, you can't help but love the dude. I usually don't like the lovable idiot type characters but something about Brett just seems earnest. It also helps that he doesn't seem to fall into the usual "Opps, let me try and help out when clearly I am way out of my league only to make the situation worse" scenarios. Often times he's the voice of reason to Raegan's band of crazy. Like in the first episode, he's not the one who made the Robot president self aware and he immidiately seeks out Raegan's help when things go pear shaped. He may have flubbed getting gadgets for Raegan but he actually helps her get past all of the president's security. He's not the one connects him to the internet making the situation worse but was actually against that idea. Pretty solid character overall.
