The reason they were getting clowned on for their "privacy tour" was that they had said that they don't want to be defined by being in the royal family but got dozens of deals that all revolved around them being former royals and such. They made such a big deal about themselves on their own, that people started to wonder if they just wanted to be treated like normal people like they said, why not just stop trying to stand out.

While I agree that what you say is true, that is not the reason for this episode. The reason is because they left England because according to them, the press was racist and they didn’t want to do anything with the royals and wanted to move away from all the attention. They wanted to have kids away from the British press. They didn’t want what happened to Diana happening to them. And then they got to the US and all they do is be on tv and doing interviews and writing books and doing “documentaries”. So they said they wanted privacy and then all they do is be in front of cameras.

As a Canadian, no I do not care about what happened to the queen or what happens to the royal family. In fact I think it should be put to rest forever. We don't need "kings" and "queens" in todays society. They had to make them "Canadian" with the half head things and make them Canadian royalty for legal reasons lol.

Interesting, I remember South Park going on their own privacy tour after Charlie Hebdo when they worried they would be bombed next by Muslim extremists. I don’t think I would’ve even known about their depiction of Muhammad as a bear were it not for their media tour calling for protection because they insisted they didn’t leak episode 201 😂
