First off, SeeOhKnee's Patchy costume is great. Secondly, I honestly like this editing format. Still all 4 of you on the screen, but also allowing for individual reactions to be shown off. It's a good compromise between the two styles. Finally, Patrick's "wumbo" rant is hilarious and still one of the best moments in the series. If "wumbo" isn't in your vocabulary, you didn't have a childhood.

So, at the end about Pearl's mother and such. This is my theory. Krabbs is known to have various of fishing equipment; boats, harpoons, paintings of fishing and pirates, and boats. He even had a dream of fishing, albeit him fishing up "The Moby Dollar". But what if the dollar, or the Moby Dollar (Play off of Moby Dick, a whale), the dream, was actually a memory? Also, Krabbs was in the Navy, which I'm sure had harpoons and various other weapons against enemy fishes. So, what if, Krabbs accidentally harpooned and killed Pearls mother while fishing, and while Pearl was still a very little newborn. He took it upon himself, to apologize to the mother by taking care of her daughter the best that he can.

You've got to love what can only be described, as an inuniverse retcon, with Mr. Krabs making up a name for the hat's suppossed original owner, and yet, somehow, the dude actually exists, corpse and all, with a #1 for a headstone, and wooden planks added on to finish his name, implying someone mistakenly left out that part when making said headstone, and the man himself, again DESPITE being at first a made up name, somehow now has a full on connection with the hat, enough to have himself and others in the grave RISE UP TO GET IT BACK. This is like, Strong Bad Email levels of in universe retconning!

The creator Stephen Hillenburg originally intended the show to go for three seasons and end with the movie. But Nickelodeon had more plans and wanted to do more seasons. As a result, Hillenburg ended up resigning as the show runner.
