that lion you picked up at the yard with the steiff bears is actually a steiff as well and it looks to be an original so probably from around the 30's or 40's.....I have the exact same one given to me by my aunt and it used to belong to her aunt.....great find!!!.....such treasures.....its so sad what people through out!!....tfs again...love your vids!!

I think the Steiff Lion is my favorite. He looks so loved! He reminds me of the Steiff Leopard my sister had named "Leo- Pard." My second favorite is the vintage Christmas cookie house. Really cute!!

My grandmother had that Stieff lion and it seemed ancient when I was a kid over 50 years ago so it's quite old - older than the 50's for sure. The bears and the lion are probably treasures to a collector.

Reducing the landfill is a great thing to do. I have found some nice things, including new Christmas trees. I own a vintage thrift shop, so things I find go in it for resell. I hate seeing good things being thrown away. Keep looking for "treasures".

The Steiff lion reminds me of the Steiff tiger I had as a kid. We lived in Germany in the early 60's and I had lots if Steiff animals.

I love the small DARE lion. Omg I have the large one that I got from my grandpa Joe. He was a sheriff in Kingman AZ. He passed away when I was a kid. So i actually got a Green Spaghetti lucite hanging lamp out of a Trash pile an also got a container with a ps2 and Nintendo an a wii and 29 different games for each one. Oh and also a atri and also games. I have to test the systems.

I am in the UK so we dont do this here. But I am curious to know, what time do people start going picking? What time do people put the stuff out? If you went at 7am I guess nothing would be out yet but by 12 it would be all gone? How do you know what time is the 'golden hour' so to speak?
