I'm watching this at night and trying not to laugh out loud during Maro's bath time...(and Luna's attempt to rescue him!) but it's just so darn funny and adorable (their eyes are so intense hahaha) ^^ I have Pomeranians so when they get wet, they look so much smaller and skinnier xD The festival looks so much fun and lively! I hope I can go to one when I visit Japan someday with friends

A wet Maro is a skinny kitty. We had a cat like that for a while, we had to brush him at least once a day because he would knot otherwise. Fireworks! They were so pretty. I haven't gotten to watch actually fireworks in years. Also, SONIC! YAY!

I'm amazed how still and quiet and well behaved is Maro during his bath. My cat starts jumping and tries to run away anyway he can, and starts meowing really really loud -louder than Poki, Rachel's cat- as if I was torturing him or something and he stays angry at me for the rest of the day 😂

Have you tried easing them into it? I don't remember the specifics but it starts with very small amount of water (not necessarily trying to bathe them at that point) and throughout the week slowly trying it with more and more water till they get more comfortable in it. She's probably just scared so showing her there's nothing to worry about might help.

The solution I found, specially because my cat is really strong and energetic, was to use a leather harness half a size bigger so it's loose but while wet it becomes a bit heavy so my cat doesn't move that much. Also I have everything ready beforehand (a bucket with warm water because he gets nervous with the sound of spraying water and shampoo). I take water with my hands and pour over him from the back towards his paws and add shampoo as quick as posible and talk to him during all the process. I don't submerge him in water, otherwise he goes nuts and escapes. Also, I don't wet or wash his head, that's the only spot that will inmediately freak him out. I hope this can help you ^_^

Maro behaved so well while getting a bath! When I give my cat a bath, I put water in the tub before I bring her into the bathroom so that the loud noise doesn't freak her out. Then I just take a cup and I pour the water from the tub over her. She's much more cooperative that way.

Maro is so good with his bath :o I have a foster kitty with me rn that got stuck in one of those sticky mouse traps, so he needs to be washed with almondoil as much as possible to get the glue out of his fur and he does not enjoy it :') Though he's getting better and doesnt mind as much anymore ^^

Maro was so tiny and rat like when wet 😆, he was so very good in the shower. I love that he was being frosty with you when you came home, he was like " you bathed me against my will, I shall ignore you" , but you could tell it won't last long. He looked so clean though! Xxx Rose
