Cam Civic 10th Gen's are known to have AC problems. It's usually covered under warranty. My AC condenser had a leak and it was covered by a recall/warranty. Take it to a dealer and see if it's covered.

Im a 2021 FK8 Type R owner. Original Honda guy from the 90s, I had a 94 GS-R, 96 LS, etc. I am not digging how much FK8 Type R owners are ricing their shit out. We use to keep our Hondas clean back in the day and it seems like that art is lost.

For the money, I’d look into a used RSX type S. I feel like it has a solid foundation for mods and it already has a K engine to boot. Plus the price to value for them are fair. I love the older EF/EG/EK models, but I feel like it would take a lot more money getting it to where I want (paint, engine swap, etc). All that work can definitely make for some great content though 👍🏽

Having driven a b18c swapped EG Hatch, you have to get one of these. It's just so light, and raw, with the right suspension and drivetrain it's just a pocket rocket and a true driver's car 👌

You should definitely look into moving to TN! It's the best. Those EM1 civic Si's are so sick too! I'd recommend that build. I'd watch whatever content you put out though, because I feel like you're super relatable. I hope y'all enjoy the rest of your trip.

That silver wagon is actually a 1982 - my dad had an 82 brown wagon so we talked with that guy awhile. I have a 2007 S2000 but had an EF hatch, EG sedan, 3rd Gen Prelude Si and my dad has had civics, accords, pilots and crvs since 1980 so the event is amazing for us. My list of cars I’d want to add if I had unlimited room is a 91 Civic Si hatch, 91 CRX Si, 91 Prelude Si, 95 NSX, 92 Integra GS-R

@@Gcaaril if you get a downpipe, you will need a ln exhaust system that manages that extra airflow better to reduce drone. AWE makes a street version with an upgraded dual phase resonator

Nice thing about the BRZ it’s cross platform viewing between Subaru and Toyota buyers. The typeR are just hitting 2nd 3rd owners with a lot of depreciation and finally in grasp of modding fanboys. You’re in a good spot. Maybe just add something vs replacing 😊

The A/C is trash on our cars, bro. Take it to Honda. There’s an extended warranty on the condenser AND recently the compressor. It’s common they go out. They’ll charge to inspect and then end up replacing it. Had it done last year. I drive a ‘19.

Another excellent video. I had my AC stop working on my civic 1.5 turbo, it was a condenser leak. Had it replace for free as honda know there is a problem with them. Just a heads up. 👍👍🇬🇧

My 18si AC also died after 3 yes of usage. I has it rifilled and did not have an issue for the next 2 yrs or so before I sold the car.

My vote is 8th Gen Si. Still love mine 07' Sedan I bought new now with 276K. I think it will outlast my 22' 11th Gen Si. We will see. My first car in 89' was a 76' Honda Wagon Orange. 22' Si is Orange so I've come full circle.😊

Definitely check the condenser in your AC. Known issue and Honda extended the warranty on them. For me. I always make sure when I start the car.. I go into climate and make sure I'm clicking "off" under the AC part. That way it's not running at all.

Eg6 painted in the same color as your type r with full ( hard race )suspension and motor mounts and k24/k20a head and oil pump. With a haltec ecu must have full interior and sound system (no cheating) sound deadening and definitely ac have lht performance build you a custom twin loop exhaust for no drone Last but not least double din apple car play Pick the wheels and your done Basically my dream build, I can’t afford it maybe I can live through your channel lol

Rsx type s is is still a coupe and it looks pretty cool still. Comes with a k20 already so that’s a big plus. When my friend worked at Greddy years ago I was able to sit in the first turbo prototype for the Rsx type s and I will always remember that expereince.

Idk if anyone has answered this by now.. The b series engine code is stamped into the block bottom left. I see B18c in the eg hatch in the beginning, which was the integra type r motor. At least the block is.

I think the reason you AC was struggling was you had all that stuff by passenger foot well intake. I’ve had that one happen before! Your system was probably totally frozen. I’d guess it fixed itself when you emptied passenger footwel. If blocking it didn’t burn something up. Shit happens man. At least it happened on way home!

100% on selling the BRZ and getting an EM1/DC5/FA5/EG6 Especially 8th Gen Si's they go for so cheap Everytime I see one for sale. Usually I see them listed on the groups from $4500-$6500 and the have the LSD, unlike the RSX. I had both cars and loved my RSX Type-S, but it was a 2002 which aren't as nice as the 2005, but the are way cheaper then them too.
