Yo Cam couple things - 1. Regarding the sugar just cut out overly processed stuff. I was the same way. Always tired always exhausted. I’m telling you it’s the processed sugar. Cutting out sodas, cakes, cereal etc, changed everything. Plus instead of munching on Oreos you’ll force yourself to eat something somewhat nutritious instead like an apple or smoothie to get the sugar hit. 2. I had an 86 as well and traded it in for a WRX and don’t miss it at all. You’ll be good don’t even stress. Also sell the car w the bumper. I’m still tryna sell 86 parts 5 months later.

@@sdalexander8505 I agree 100% with you. For anyone else reading this and since Cameron mentioned comp sci and business degrees, corporate life is more than just 40 hours a week (despite everything told). Just want to get the truth out there more transparently. I feel the same way as you, Cameron. I am lethargic, tired, and want more time for myself. To combat this, I take iron tablets (I believe I am anemic), vitamin D tablets (going out is just not feasible some days as I am WFH), vitamin C (immune system support) in the morning, and a more vegetable-based diet (think of Salata, CAVA, etc. as an idea). This helps me tremendously with lack of energy / drowsiness, but some days are insanely demanding than others. I hope this is a temporary phase for all of us, hope you get better Cameron. Hustle culture is just ridiculous.

You are in the thick of it, my friend. Work, family, hobbies, education, plus an hour and a half of commuting daily. That's rough for anybody! After three years (2020-2023) of making the commute from new tampa to clearwater, my wife and i decided to move to a smaller town with a slower pace of life. Eliminating 2-3 hours of commuting daily has made an incredible difference in the quality of our life. That, along with limiting social media and processed foods, may be the best things you can do. This was exactly how i felt before we left tampa. You got this, dude!

I feel like a noticed a difference when you left CA. Stress can really do that to you, makes it challenging to be productive on certain things in your life when you already feel weighed down by just doing life in general. I can relate man, I had the worst year last year. We couldn't afford a house, gf lost her job and didn't work for a year, I had to cover everything, racked up debt, lost savings, then my gf of 8 years left me in nov. I had to move back in with my parents to allow me to start paying off credit card debt and reduce my stress levels because I was having panic attacks. I had also gained weight, low energy, etc.. Started walking 5 miles a day, lifting 3 days/week, saving money again, started focusing on work again. Biggest change to all of this to start having energy again and being productive was getting rid of the stress.

Holy crap dude. Thats a lot. First off, yea I think moving to Florida was the catalyst for me. I gelled in California and really miss it. Being in CA in general for me was motivating. Second, that is a lot of stuff to deal with man. Your girlfriend leaving you after all of that is pretty messed up
@HardwiredZ06

@@Camhill182 Yes it was a very messed up situation, still traumatized from it 4 months removed. Was basically turned into a situation where if she did get it (the house), then she was gonna leave and she kept good on that after I failed to get approved for a house in texas because my employer wouldn't allow it. But, the only positive is that the constant stress is gone and feels like there's less weight on my shoulders.

Keep your head up man, I do think selling the BRZ and getting rid of that payment will help you out a lot. One thing that has helped me a lot is I've deleted most of the social media apps on my phone. It forces you to stop checking your phone for FOMO reasons and forces you to only check social media on your computer. After a few days, you'll notice how much more peaceful it is without constantly checking social media. Also sell the BRZ with that bumper on but also include the stock bumper with purchase. Good luck with the sale and I look forward to seeing Si content when you are ready :)

The first year and half is definitely the hardest, especially working full time and getting used to be a Dad. I needed to get myself into a routine, doing more things on certain days when I know my workload is lower vs days I’m busier at work only doing the necessities so I can have the most energy and time for my kid. With the being tired, I had to take naps when my kid was asleep. That little time is something that will get you through the day and you can always plan for as most newborns-1y take multiple and I never was a nap person until I had a kid. And lastly you are doing a great job if you feel like you’re exhausted and have no time. It means you’re caring for your wife and daughter and worrying about yourself last. developing a schedule can allot some time for such things as 1 taking a drive 2 working out (my dad swears a workout every morning is what cures his depression and anxiety) 3 taking a walk/run Even just taking a minute to yourself a couple times a day, will make the difference. Best of luck and I promise, it only gets easier…. Until they starting talking back 😅😂

Hey dude. Totally get what you’re saying about always feeling tired. For the last year, I haven’t felt like myself. And every time I worked out or exerted myself or did anything that required even a little bit of mental or physical energy, it drained me. I went to get bloodwork done recently, got my testosterone checked and everything, it was all normal. The one thing that wasn’t normal, was my vitamin b12 level. It was low. Looked into what the heck could possibly be causing my body to not absorb b12, and now I’m taking magnesium/potassium/d3/ and B12 (hydroxocobalamin form). I’m starting to feel like myself again now that I’m getting my B12 and d3 levels back up (d3 was low too). When you go to your primary care doctor to get your bloodwork, have them check B12 and D3 levels, along with your thyroid and testosterone.

@@Camhill182 Magnesium Citrate and magnesium glycinate are the most common and most effective forms, I take citrate myself. Love the tangible and practical effects of this mineral Regarding the b12 thing, I dug into my 23andMe raw gene data and found out I have the controversial MTHFR mutations, which basically predisposes me to b12 deficiency and a whole host of other issues. It’s a very common genetic condition, so if you’re at the point where you’re just trying to feel normal again, give b12 and d3 a try. You might be deficient or low, and low b12 leads to gnarly neurological disorders if it goes unchecked for a long time. I take 1000mcg of b12, and 1000iu of d3. Hey Cam, been watching you for a while, mainly for the BRZ content. Gonna miss it but sounds like the best decision for you and your family. If you're worried about being able to sell the GR86 bumper, I'd buy it. Local pickup as well. Otherwise, I'd suggest selling the car with both. Wish you and the family the best.

I would get a sleep study done. I’m a respiratory therapist with some background in this. If you’re immediately tired and sluggish after a night of sleep, it’s likely your sleep isn’t restful sleep. This could potentially shorten your life. A sleep study is well worth your time. Fixed sleep is amazing and you’ll never know how you lived without it.

I’d definitely suggest trying to find a good therapist near you, it’s been the best decision I’ve made in a long time.. I felt a lot of what you talked about especially being tired and hard to find the motivation and it’s done wonders with my outlook on things and re wiring some self thoughts etc. keep your head up all your hard work will pay off every time you get to see your little girl smile back at you!

Look into covid vaccine issues. A lot of stuff coming out now that is linked to the vaccines... Saw someone else mention it, but also look into sleep apnea and getting tested and getting cpap machine if needed. Can make a world of difference. Good luck!

I love your honesty. Listen apply the scientific method. Try something for a while and see if it improves. Testing hormones not a bad idea, working out a great idea, sleep study might be a good idea. I have three kids and I’m 42, work full time and try to have a KZbin channel as well. It’s a lot. Give yourself grace, take action if something is not working. At the end of the day you have a beautiful family to go home to. You got this.

Hey Cameron, long time viewer and just wanted to say keep hanging in there man! It is absolutely crazy to watch your life and family grow and develop in front of my eyes, and it is totally okay if KZbin has to slip when you have other things that are going on in life. If I could give you some advice (feel free to take it or not): 1. If you seriously think it may be something medically related, please get some bloodwork or some other tests done, as if it’s at that sort of level then anything other advice is pretty much useless 2. Sleep. I know it can be hard especially with a baby around the house but it could just be as simple as not enough sleep. 3. Diet. I know it is hard to cut it ALL out, but just makes small gradual steps that you can maintain. If you can slowly cut back and realize hey I’m trading this piece of delicious sugary goodness so that in the long term I can be happier and healthier, then you will be able to start seeing improvement. But it is definitely a marathon not a race, so take small manageable steps 3. Exercise. Like you had mentioned, you used to be active and you felt great. Exercise will definitely help get you going, and even if initially you may feel more fatigue (just that sudden transition for your body from sedentary -> active lifestyle), as you continue training your body will get used to it and be able to handle everything you throw at it better And all in all Cameron, just know that you are not alone. What you are going through is totally normal, and you have a lot going on! I also don’t think it’s fair to compare yourself to your younger self, as of course when you were younger and had less responsibilities, you were probably less tired 🤣 Anyways, hope you the best Cameron and will always be around if you ever find moments to eek out some content. Otherwise, seriously best wishes! You got this 💪💪

I have a suggestion just cuz i mean i think it's not worth the time. But keep the carbon fender vents on. It took ya ages to get all the adhesive off n put on the carbon fiber ones. The 86 bumper, keep it. Just debadge it. And bam. You're solid. That's my suggestion. Make the engine bone stock, but the fender vents are so minuscule, it's pointless taking the time to put on the old ones

Cam, you need some time to yourself and your family. Although the goal is full time YT, the goal right now is to make sure you are ok physically and mentally. You are definitely burnt out and need some time to recover. I know exactly how you feel, I too feel tired all the time but I’m slowly making progress to better myself. I think it is just the nature of becoming older and a more responsible adult

I appreciate that. I wont ever be a full time youtuber. I scratched that idea a while ago. In order to have the same take home pay as I do right now, I’d have to make $105,000 a year. And thats not including the money I make from youtube which gets reinvested back into parts so I can make videos. So its an unrealistic goal. It’ll always be a side gig and I’m okay with that

I’m gathering that you’re mind, body, and soul are overwhelmed your body isn’t recovering, and i wish i had an answer for how to fix what you’re going through. If I may ask, is your wife going through the same thing? Also, the life of being a married father scare me cause it feels like it can become very depressing, having to work a full time job, and balance a family, idk how my father did it for many years. It’s very admirable to the men that handle their business, y’all rock.

Hey Cam, At first i was only here for your Type R Content, but i started watching all your other Stuff. And now i am here cause of you as a person (also still cause of the FK8 not gonna lie). You are a good person and i love to hear what you have to say or to see what you have to show etc. If you do not know what to do for a video, you could just make a video on your way home after work. Just you in your car telling us how your day was, maybe answering questions from the comments, etc. Just an idea ;) But first of all : We can wait !! You have to take care of you, that is the most important. I had what you described last year. Felt also out of energy, tired everyday etc. That was Burnout... My tip is, you really need to sleep more. 6 hours is not enough ! Then you need to eat regularly (also fruits and stuff like that) and drink enough water. Take your time !! Have a nice day man, we are here for you ;) Greetings from Germany ❤
