I’m glad they left Aulani this time and got to experience food and beaches outside Aulani. Hawai’i is so beautiful and while I get making the most of your $1200/night suite, there are other beautiful places (free!) and amazing award-winning dining on O’ahu and other islands that people don’t get to experience because they’re busy with $100 Mickey Waffles and Disney gift shops. I love Disney as much as the next Disneyphile, but as someone who was born and raised in Honolulu, I can tell you I’ve toured Aulani once and never felt the need to visit or stay there again. I also would go to 100 different places than eat at an Aulani restaurant. World famous shaved ice is available at Matsumoto’s in Hale’iwa world championship surfing and gorgeous sunset beaches in Waimea Bay, white and black sand beaches on other islands, lava tubes, parasailing, and again, the food and local eateries! I hope the Trackers will expand their visits in the future as Jackson and hopefully more little Trackers grow up.

Back in the early 90's, my sister had a boyfriend who was a native Hawaiian. He would send her chocolate-covered Macadamia nuts all the time. He once paid for an extra airline seat just to bring her a tropical potted plant from the islands.

Don't like maple syrup, but coconut syrup sounds AWESOME!! And nice they gave you 2 pancakes as a side to the omelet!!!! Great shot of the stained glass in the lobby, Tim, and I agree with Jenn about sitting out there with a coffee/whatever and chill! I like to do that on the tiny balcony outside by the bubbling spring in the lobby of Wilderness Lodge. Haven't been there in long time, but used to have rocking chairs - another love of mine!! Loved the snorkeling piece (and the music), thanx Tim! Don't know why that jerk just couldn't leave the poor, inured seal alone!!! Wow - that coconut wall is super cool! I LOVE Macadamia nuts, ESPECIUALLY with chocolate!! Socially distanced hugs to the 3 of you from New Jersey. Stay strong, stay positive, stay healthy!

Next time you go I suggest doing the macadamia nut tour. They have samples of different coffee and savory/sweet Mac but samples (don’t know if Covid affects it). The tour they do is amazing too! Fun for Jackson too, our daughter was like 8-9 months old and she tagged along lol

Tim... Jenn.... Seriously. NEXT visit, go to Shark's Cove, just before Waimea, on the North shore. It's great for snorkeling, and swimming along the coast, you'll see more fish, eels, etc.... There are some hidden pools that few people ever see. There are lava tubes that connect the pools to the ocean, and the amount of sea life contained in those pools is amazing!

While I love Disney and the Trackers, there is so much more to Hawaii than the resorts. I suggest to get out and explore, do your research, better yet rent a house or condo and save your money. If you are looking for more adventure, the island and its people are too beautiful to be spent at a resort all day, even with small kids.
