Beautiful Miss Trudy, thank you for doing this for my country. Zimbabwe really needs all the help it can get. With all the slandering from the media and the rest of the world, we ourselves have stopped believing in our country with myself included. Because of the political arena a lot of us only dream about leaving the country and most of us who have left still fear returning. We love our country but basic human survival comes first

Birioti's wife is a true representation of Shona culture. Women can either kneel or bend the knees when handing over food at the table. Bending the knees is also used to greet or welcome visitors. Its called a curtsy in English. A curtsy is a traditional gendered gesture of greeting, in which a girl or woman bends her knees while bowing her head. Its also practiced in the British royal family and many other European countries like Spain, Denmark etc. Some things which we think are African are also found in Europe and Asia. Thats why I like reading deeply about other cultures to find connections.
