I've never used gravy granules, so found this interesting. Certainly quicker than traditional method. Helpful to know that you can buy a lower priced product, without losing much tastewise.

Hi both,the deluge of rain here has finally stopped,pity any camping. Gravy...my wee Irish mum always used oxo,soften onions first in fat juices from meat ect,add oxo,flour x veg juice to thicken...yum yum,oh...she always added sugar to the cooked onions,stopped any indigestion. Steve thankyou for giving up so much for our entertainment 😂 Penn,much enjoyed thankyou,just missing the beef!!! know what I mean🙊👍👍❤️

I stopped using Bisto because they don't say beef gravy granules on the tub, and the taste shows this. Goldenfry were better imo.

Love gravy. Its goldenfry we use all the time, their onion gravy and chicken gravy are so good xx

Thank you for this. I use Goldenfry but sometimes I find it goes lumpy. But I like the taste when mixed with the juices from the meat.

@JulieAngela304 as you saw Steve didn't have a clear winner and fir the price Golden Fry wins . I really did think the Bisto had that not cooked out flour taste but I don't have lots of gravy

First of all I have to make a comment. A "southern" boy that loves his gravy.??? Graaaaavy is what we northerners love and plenty of it. Once again Steve love your taste test. I will agree with you they all taste the same. But I will say in an extreme emergency (cant believe I am saying this) Schwartz roast beef gravy mix. More expensive but in an emergency very reasonable flavour. Try and let me know. Thanks Steve for yet again a totally unbiased review.....keep them coming....cheers.

Hi Penn & Steve. I have a question for you. Have you ever made a cottage or shepherds pie from start to finish in your Ninja Speedi? The reason I ask is because I did. I was feeling very pleased with myself until I did its final bake and it turned into cottage pie soup!!! 😱😱 I’ve never had the Is result in all of the years I’ve been making one and cooking in my conventional oven. I was wondering if it was because I cooked it on the steam bake setting and effectively disintegrated the mince? 🤦‍♀️ I will be very interested to hear if you have had any experience like this. Great videos by the way. I love them!! 😍 I swear by your Ninja Speedi stuffed jacket potato recipe 😁👍❤️❤️

@michellezimmermann9160 it's a yes and no . I've cooked all the ingredients in the speedi ..sauté the meat and veg then cook on steam with the potatoes on the rack above. I then transfer to a disg to assemble and cook on bake to warm through a d crisp the top

@@inthekitchenwithpenn1 Awww thank you so much Penn, I really appreciate your advice. I will try again in the Speedi but not use the steam and bake setting for its final cook. I don’t know why I did in the first place really, I think it was a bit silly of me! 🤦‍♀️😂 But hey Ho, you live and learn I suppose! Love to you both ❤️❤️
