I get so nostalgic watching these! When TGND was originally airing, I loved all 3 of you so much that (as a 19 year old) I went and bought my first Playboy magazine because y’all were in it. What’s funny is I was also reading the Harry Potter book series for the first time as well and bought The Order of the Phoenix at the same time, so it’s interesting/amusing how TGND is still correlated in my head and memories with HP 😂 What an interesting combo!

There’s such a sense of nostalgia re-watching these episodes as you react to them. Nostalgic but heartbreaking. I tried out for Playboy 3 times (never actually posed), but I remember at the time thinking, “This is where I want to be!” And while I love that the show brought you girls to all of us, it’s so sad to know what it was like behind the curtain. I remember her claiming in her book that her "agent" ended up being a divisive, do-nothing douche, so you could be right. I spent three years in a sorority, and I couldn't tell you now what caused 90% of the tension that was usually hanging over half the chapter at any given time. I think it was just the result of people having to live with folks who weren't necessarily their best friends, plus the added pressure to make like everything's super-perfect for the benefit of the outside world. Sound familiar? LOL.

This just came up on my feed to day and brought back so many wonderful memories of you guys! Even though I only started working with Bridget on the final season, it was still great seeing everyone. Lol… I always had these unusual random connections to your life. Before teaching trapeze and all of he aerial stuff, I toured internationally as an illusionist. On top of that, my office at Vanguard many years ago was next to an “up and coming” EDM promoter that had just started EDC… and BTW, I’m currently a magic and aerial designer for a very special happiest place on earth for their parks around the world. To me, this episode was the epitome example of a "Frankenstein" format episode, but I did like it. Always thought Bridget's mom was so nice. Also, props for the Nirvana shirt! I know you said you always wanted to be "Mrs. Kurt Cobain" in your book. Did you ever get into Hole and Courtney Love? So many of her songs have themes that totally ring relevant with what you've described in your book and in the "Secret of..." doc. Love the reactions!

I know you didn’t watch it so I just wanted you to know that first of all, you look amazing (like you normally do), idk what street shot you showed in one of your past videos about it but the only time it’s dark lighting like that is when they have you watch clips of GND. You were so well spoken, you were so real and raw and still so compassionate towards All the girls past & post your time, I get why you cried now when he read that anniversary card. I would say “you poor thing” but you are the fastest thing from being a “poor little thing”. I know I’m just some person off KZbin but I love you and im going through really bad PPD with my first baby (boy) and your videos are my only escape takes some of the panic away. @@OfficialHollyMadison just to let you know, the real you absolutely still shined through even in the first couple of seasons, because I remember telling people that I didn’t care how you said something or whatever because I could tell you were a good person despite (what I now understand as) producer manipulation/editing. I knew the moments that seemed genuine and like the real you without even really understanding what we all know about reality tv today. I just knew something seemed “off” with the convos where they tried to make you look bad.

I have endometriosis and I used to be on Lupron injections. I can 100% confirm that the hot flashes were so real! I used to sweat constantly even when it was 20 degrees or lower outside. Since having one of my ovaries and fallopian tube removed, however, I am no longer on it. I don’t miss that at all! Haha Love you Holly and I love watching these reaction videos, as well as the special on A&E. It’s been extremely eye-opening and I stand with all you women. ❤️

It's an odd episode as the storylines for you and Bridget were things you were really passionate about and that shone through, also they were interesting for the viewer as got to find out something most of us won't have experienced- going to the Halloween convention/Chicago and working on a Playmate Pictorial. Kendra's story was her and her family fixing a condo, it seemed like it belonged to a different show which was about home improvements and in my opinion didn't really work.

I was a young woman when this came out and I loved the show at the time - so I don't see why advertisers would have shied away. It was pretty popular at the time as I recall. As far as the bodily function noises go several people have commented on how annoying the fake dog barking is and Bridget's poor cat getting that hissing noise too. It must have just been the time that this came out to overdo on the sound effects - this was the only reality show I watched at the time so I don't know if others did the same thing.
