What's ironic to me is that she's not Southern, but she does all the things Southern women do. When we wrap gifts or even fake gifts for decoration, they must be over the top beautiful. I think it's cute and I love that she was the way she was. Nobody else on the show was like bridget.

Anyone else watching these videos late because you didn’t know about Holly’s channel until Girls Next Level started? I have to watch these in between impatiently waiting for a new episode on Mondays! 😅 I was 15-17 when Girls Next Door aired, and I was SO obsessed with Holly & Bridget. I never aspired or felt like I would have been sexy enough for something like playboy, but they were so down to earth and seemed so sweet and genuine you felt like they could be your best friend regardless of how “hot” or not you were! I related so much to their love of themes, decorating, holidays, horror/paranormal, vintage, kitsch, etc. Before the show I had never seen girls like me who were super girly, but also into horror and Star Wars at the same time. I think they did a lot to show there can be a lot more to us than one layer, and women can be smart, beautiful, and have quirky interests all at once. Definitely not one dimensional “characters,” and that shined through, even if the producers did try to keep you guys in certain “roles.”

I used to be one of the people that thought “if you aren’t happy why don’t you just leave”. Your videos have really helped me to understand why that statement isn’t realistic. I liked this episode, but now that I’m 5 episodes in to the Secrets of Playboy revealed and reading your book it’s hard to watch anything about Playboy now. It’s just so much darker than I ever imagined ! There are things stated that I wished I could un-hear. 🙉 the way I thought it was at the mansion compared to truth is terrifying! I bet people would love to hear you opinion and input over the documentary, once the entire series airs. If you were comfortable doing that. If not, I TOTALLY get it.

Granted it’s a man with multiple partners which some may not like but I thought it was consensual and I thought he was a nice sweet man that loved on all the ladies and that was why they all stayed. Holly, I think you were what finally cracked open this rotten egg. As someone that has gone through toxic relationships, I'm sorry that you went through that and even more sorry that so many people to this day enable what that man did to all of you. His defenders either didn't know the truth because their experiences were different or were just as guilty. The fact that people are denying these negative occurrences after so many people, men and women, have come out with the truth is mind-blowing!

God I love these videos. I ended up watching along on Amazon video. It really feels like you’re stepping into another world. I was a kid back in the day but I definitely remember just how different it was compared to today, with the fashion and all that. Victorias Secret was a totally legitimate place to get clothes and shoes and they were really cute. Girls in my high school were all about it. To me, you at the playboy mansion was a special time in history and it’s so cool to see it all and kind of live that life with you, even if it’s cherry picked moments of the whole ice burg. I can see why you were there for it.

I thought everybody has had that spouse that you leave and go back leave and go back leave and go back until you finally figure it out. People that question you about that it really bothers me. Marie Antoinette is a really interesting movie...great ambience. One of my favorites also. Sofia Coppola has some other great films if you've never seen them. My sister lives near the American Zoetrope building in SF...go there for coffee sometimes.

Victoria's Secret DID used to have amazing clothes! I had a black pencil skirt & a black corset-like top (super cute). Back in '07, I would save up to order from them. The clothes were really well made & on-trend at the time.

It is intended to be pronounced "sesame"... the "says a me" origin story is below: In the 1937 cartoon short Popeye the Sailor Meets Ali Baba’s Forty Thieves, the titular sailor at one point ends up stuck down a well, tied to a rope hanging above shark-infested waters (just a regular day for a cartoon). Popeye, of course, relies on his spinach-fuelled strength to get him out of danger, and utters the phrase “open, says me!” to the can of spinach he has conveniently been carrying around with him on his travels. When Popeye says “open, says me,” it’s obviously intended to be a joke, a riff on the famous phrase from the story the cartoon is parodying. However, this joke has stuck around and become something of a linguistic legend - many people think it’s how the phrase is intended to be said.

Holly, I loved this episode and it was one of my favorites that I still watch. I think because your a Capricorn people will always think they know you but don't. We act like we're sharing it all but really they only see about 30% lol. Not to mention, we can be so depressed and hide it incredibly well like playing a role at a theme park. I love you and you were and will always be my favorite!
