Cnet has become the Samsung hater of this new Era and it wasn't like that before I followed Cnet for years, I guess once again money play an important part *no comments* , so that's why I stopped considering Cnet reviews to make a decision when I am considering to buy something, ....before you guys make any negative judgment about this comment, know this ,,,,, yes I have iPhone and iPad as well as Galaxy phone and tables..... I am not a fan to a particular product I enjoy technology above and beyond than a name.

@@BTman58 I dont care about CNET, INET or F***NET. It is the worse IP camera ever. Always disconnecting. Don't buy this camera. I bought 3 of them and SUPER SLOW to react. SLOW to connect. ALWAYS cutting off. LAGGY And I have fiber-fast internet at home. Piece of junk. Not worth the money. at $200 a piece of BS. Hate it. Thank you SAMSUNG rip off.

“app looks outdated and things are hard to find” That is where i had to draw the line. The app is designed like a lot of higher end security systems and the UI does not need to be flashy. Id rather have a secure app than one that looks good. The less updates the less chances for glitches or security holes to be exposed. Also, if you have a hard time realizing a GEAR means settings and the events are displayed in a timeline (it shows you two ways as well) then maybe the user is the issue. I love this line of cameras and the app works fine. OF COURSE you have to set up zones and adjust sensitivity....

Getting rid of mine cannot get a hard reset and it quit working, Switching to Wyze pan tilt zoom. Lot easier to setup

Bought one of these at Costco for $120 and now feel that was still to much to pay for this pretty lousy camera. Picture is nice. But, #1 I keep losing the wi-fi connection when I manually try to get the camera to pan and/or tilt. #2 I haven't been able to receive a notification or email when the camera 'detects' movement or tries to follow movement. #3 Audio causes a 'delay' feedback even at low volume. #4 Instruction (Owner's Manual) is poorly written and difficult to determine what the functions are. I am taking this camera BACK to Costco. Sadly disappointed in it's performance.

I totally disagree with this review. I think the woman is just a ding dong can't figure things out. I have several different security cameras and I think the Samsung SmartCam is the best of all of them. You're not forced to subscribe to a cloud service you can pan you can tilt and much more. Maybe a little pricey but it's one nice camera

I have 6 of these cameras only thing I found that I really dont like is they dont work on any windows 64 bit systems and you can not view more then one at a time and I messaged samsung on the smart things app and they said there's a security issues that's why they will not add these cameras to the smart things app so they will not work with any hubs I really dont understand how they can say there Samsung cameras if Samsung dont want anything to do with them ??? Other then that they are really good cameras they do drop the internet connection often there very unstable they should be a 25$ camera not a 200$ camera but if they fix all of these thing they would be well worth the money Oh and there is no cloud storage ether there not really secure cause if someone just took the camera you would never have any proof but other then all that not bad cameras for the most part

I own 2 of these and the app has been changed since the publishing of this video. I just ordered 2 more hoping that I can make them a purely local IP cam. Anybody know how to do this??

Lol good luck. I bought 2 older ones years ago worked good then. Now they are almost useless. Never get notifications anymore.
