When she said at the end on behalf of the boys, I peed my pants laughing. I understand that was a saying back in the day. But, today it's so funny hearing grown men described as the boys. lol.

They survived the attack, but are they survivors? Truly?? Many talk about having all these horrific emotions (even failed family life and suicide attempts). So, I wonder.....do they consider themselves saved, survived, alive????

An insightful, relevant question to ask of people who have experienced shock, trauma, and perhaps survivor's guilt. A friend who lost a child and who works as a doctor said if the experiences can be witnessed and acknowledged there is a space created for healing. I hope that each time these people share their stories they feel more healing in their souls and hearts.
