I use logs and smokeless coal 40kg per week at the moment, £7 per day plus my alternative heating is diesel which costs about £3 per day. Its obviously maxed out this week. I use Calor gas, as im off grid. There is no solar or wind energy reliably available.

The UK has virtually zero gas storage compared with the rest of Europe. Europe buys gas when its cheaper in the summer and lets the storage run down during the higher priced winter months. The UK has no interest in reducing gas prices and will pay ANY amount of money as it will simply passes this cost on to the customers.

Last month UK just stopped the last RU gas coming through to obey the EU, Norway is having more pressure on it's energy so that source we use for a lot of our energy is getting really expensive, Germany etc are using it too, putting pressure on the limited amount,now Hungry and Slovakia will have to use it after RU energy was stopped getting through to their countries few day's ago
