When it first came out, it got so much hate, being a roman story of the english king... it's one of clive owens best. I change my first name and I picked Tristan because of the Mads Mikkelsen portrayal of that character. HOw do you do that... Tristan simply replies "I am for the middle" Happy you finding this latter on. It still holds up. I have still have the blue ray i purchased from BBY all those years ago

Currently 32 weeks pregnant with my first, a little boy who will be named Arthur. Hubby named him for this film not realising the actual myth and legend of King Arthur has roots in Welsh. I’ve named him for the legend and for his Irish (fathers) heritage and my Welsh heritage.

This is an ancient Scottish folk song from the inner Hebrides. & Northern Ireland. It was originally sung as a lullaby to British & Irish children through hunger , war & troublesome times before 43AD. It was part of the 'deer dance' at one time around two swords at clan festivals. My great great grandfather told my dad when he was alive. I'm half Scottish from Caithness.

Interesting that it's not my heritage but I have an appreciation of music from every culture. And I actively search for Celtic music because I think it is some of the most beautiful music in the world. This particular song is so ethereal. Leah's absolutely beautiful voice transcends the atmosphere, it's almost like she's singing this music from the heavens or from somewhere way out in the universe. It's tone is comforting, chock-full of longing and presentation as if she's showing you the land she comes from while wanting so badly to go home across those mountains at the same time. I just know it invokes a certain sense of comfort in me when I hear it. It's reassuring and lets me know everything will be fine.

Our gardens have been fantastic this year, and the family time spent canning, and freezing the vegetables over great conversations is even more valuable than that. Peeling and cutting fresh peaches for pints of jam devolved into throwing slippery peach pits at each other and laughing hysterically! These are home, memories of special recipes and times together. There's an immense sense of wellbeing that comes from bettering one's self, and beating the odds. Do some simple home improvements yourself, plant a fruit tree, flowers, or a little garden. The feelings of self reliance and accomplishment are tremendous! I hope you'll make many acquaintances and from them, a few great and true friends. We can learn something valuable from nearly everyone we meet. Fill your home and celebrate often, a game day, friday night pizza, sunday dinners with friends etc. Lend a hand to a neighbor in need, build community. I love the Celtic culture and music though I have no relation to them. And this song is so beautiful. I remembered it a few days ago and was humming it. :)))

If you have almost any European blood the odds are high that there's at least one type of Celt mixed in.

T Hitsugaya Indeed. The Celts didn't just hail from the Isles. The Gaelic Clans, the Germanic tribes, and the Sarmatians are just a part of what was considered Celtic. The Ancient Greeks had the term Keltoi, it essentially meant someone who lived to the North. This broadly meant that most of what is now Europe was considered Celtic territory. Above the Celts were the Hyperboreans, or the Norse.

+Tatiana Kostik, really hard to know without the DNA tests. My ancestry which I have documented via genealogy is all Germanic names with some family stories of Irish blood but nothing to back them. Well DNA test was very surprising in that it showed >15% Irish for me and also showed Italian, Swede, Norwegian and Finn ancestry (which there were no family stories about).
