They really did go all out for the Kongs. I hope the likes of Dixie and Diddy can get some roles beyond standing in the background, even if it's just a line or two, just to acknowledge that "Yep, it's them, they're REAL" And just... Holy cow, all the other Kongs too. Really do hope this means SOMETHING for Kong Watch, you can't just go this deep for a blockbuster movie and theme park and NOT have something game wise in the pipeline or just be a one and done.

If/when they do the Smash Bros. Movie, they shouldn’t go too crazy……..yet. It should just be Mario, Yoshi, DK, Kirby and Pikachu, like the classic Smash 64 commercial (ok Kirby wasn’t in that commercial, but still) And I hope the Smash Bros. Movie is not directed by Jeff Fowler. Let someone else take the director chair.

Seeing you happy actually makes me happy, I’ve been aware that Nintendo hasn’t been that supportive towards Donkey Kong for the past years and I understand the sadness and frustration from the fans. I have a soft spot for Donkey Kong since seeing my brother play the games and watching the CGI series when I was a kid, so seeing DK and the crew get some much love in this movie brings me joy. Let’s hope that this will lead to him getting more respect and potential games in the future.

I have to be honest, back in 2014, I was one of those people who said that Tropical Freeze “should’ve been Metroid”. I was an angsty teen at the time, and I could not appreciate the cartoon aesthetic of the DK universe. It wasn’t until last year, when I played a DKC game for the first time (surprise, it was Tropical Freeze), that I can finally call myself a DK fan. I love this character now, and I’m glad DK is getting love in this movie.

I prefer the rare designs of dk, especially for the games, but WE GOT THE MONKE!!! It's a wonderful combo of all the designs of dk, and the amount of references are so insane! There's small details that do feel a little off but that's been the case for most of the character designs but ohh this is beautiful,,,

I definitely think the main kongs that show up in the movie are gonna show up in future games. Im less sure about stuff like the kong drones, movie dk lore and the outfit cranky has, but im open to it not being movie exclusive. The designs are great for the movie, though i too prefer they keep the rare designs for the games. In general im just really hyped for this movie, it just looks great visually and clearly has tons of effort put into it. I think it'll be great! I do hope we get clearer shots of the other kongs besides dk and cranky though.
