Yes, I agree. Mankind destroys all things God created and has let us use. The flood in Genesis was God's attempt to give us a second chance. Later on, He destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah. People don't care. The air, oceans, seas, forests, mountains, etc. are being horribly "abused". But, it seems that's not enough - for centuries, the creatures that God created are being abused, maimed, and killed. We that especially care for drugs and cats, are appalled by the horrors visited on animals. Would stricter penalties help stop animal abuse? I wish, but it has stopped child and domestic abuse. I adopted a cat from Bulgaria. He was the victim of a deliberate hit and run. It shattered his skull, broke his jaw and ruptured both eyeballs, which had to be removed. He is the most loving, happy cat I have ever known. We utterly adore him.

This breaks my heart. I don’t know the backstory of how it happened (whether it was intentional human abuse or his daredevil tendencies) however the rabbit I adopted has pins and rods in his leg it had been shattered. He’s the sweetest most cuddly and snuggly bunny which isn’t exactly normal. He will lay down and sleep with me. But that surgery to fix his leg had to cost a pretty penny and he could have been put down simply because of that. He’s the best just like your kitty. Sometimes the animals that suffered really bad things are also the most loving and protective animals. ❤ for your kitty and you.

1) This kitten should be the face of her sanctuary. He truly reflects all of her hard work and dedication. 2) He should stay with her. She fought for his life when so many others wanted him gone. 3) That vet should apologize to her AND to the kitten. Yes, she could've put him to sleep and gone on to save 50 more, but that's not the point. The point is to save a life. 4) This is one of the most inspirational rescues I've seen in a long time. When everyone else gave up on him, she didn't. 5) His namesake would be proud of this kitten's fierce determination.

A good start would be for the government to stop subsidizing animal agriculture. If people have to pay the full price of meat, dairy and eggs, they will start eating mostly plants, which the human body is designed to eat anyway. Animal cruelty would decrease drastically, the environment would begin to heal, and everybody's health would improve. But that will never happen, because everybody is opposed to animal cruelty... until they sit down to eat.

I’m so sorry for your loss! Our 18 year old Norwegian Forest Cat died this summer in our arms. We took him in at age 12 when his original family on the floor above moved and left him behind. Best decision we ever made. My ex rescued a kitten that had been taken away from its mother at 3 weeks and then abandoned-he was a mess, infested with fleas, couldn’t see or hear due to infection and ear mites. They said if he survived, he’d be blind. Nope! His vet care, even at the emergency vet, cost a fraction of what they estimated and that cat literally bounced off walls and furniture for a very long and healthy life.

For vet to say it is just waste of money is telling me he is doing a wrong job . My vet would never say anything like that! I remember my cat with a cancer, he was going to die my vet knew it but I remember she said to me '' I will do my best'' . I will never forget this words. As unpleasant as it is, the vet was right and completely reasonable. The reality of rescue work is that you can't save every animal you come across, and every animal you help is resources that won't go into another animal. Responsible rescue work is being aware of the trade-offs and being willing to either make the pragmatic choice or to accept that unless you're really amazing at fundraisers the money spent on the expensive cases isn't going to magically rematerialize when you need it later. It's beautiful when people choose not to give up on the dire cases, but we shouldn't villainize people for saying the icky unhappy truth out loud either.

I had a charity once tell me my dog's cancer had spread and she couldn't be saved just by looking at a photo... They wouldn't even help with an xray. I was willing to donate 80% of the cost but they didn't even listen long enough before they flat out refused help purely on cost. If I had listened to them and their lies to avoid costs my dog would not have had the years I did have with her after going to a proper vet who cared. It hadn't spread and she could be helped.The reviews on these places speak for themselves, if you only need pills your good but anything more prepared to be disappointed.

I watched this & just started crying. I then had to get up & go kiss & hug my sleeping 21 year-old furry soulmate named Clousseau. I will never understand how someone can be so cruel & vicious to creatures (& probably vulnerable humans as well) who are so innocent & trusting, & just want companionship & love. Wash them with only water before the evening. Also wash them for 7 times at times. And even when they got born 3 weeks long for female and 2 weeks long for male baby cats. Give them grass to eat. : )

And no need for it either, unless totally covered in dirt and the animal can't get it done (too weak or too ill). Still, then ONLY use a warm wet small cloth to wipe them clean with.

@twobabka I think I heard of chimps being in that category, too, but I'm not sure. The more intelligent the animal, the more capable it is of commiting awful acts on purpose.

The cruelty of humans breaks my heart every day. Just every day. I am thankful there are people like this wonderful individual who counteract some of that cruelty. I truly hope the person who did this was held accountable to the fullest extent of the law. We do need more severe punishment for acts such as this. We need a national registry to track those who perpetuate acts such as this.
