It looks like December 2021. The look like January 2022 will be coming pretty darn quick, evidently when I look at the charts you are looking at.

In terms of nGDP it is nothing like that. The most important stat today is the initial unemployment claim jump last week. Labor is the key driver of everything.

My only complaint about the economy is the use of dishonest measures, 2D IOUs, credit, crypto, debt notes, pixels, digits. These are not honest measures. I need honest measures. In my opinion that is US Treasury gold and silver eagles. In silver, gasoline is cheaper than in the 1950's with ZERO inflation. Inflation is man made, caused by dishonest people issuing massive numbers of fake man made 2D IOUs. Dow 18 ounces of gold in 1929 and 2024. Is it an IOU bubble?
@jackgoldman110 сағат бұрын
I am confused. Gold has outperformed stocks by 100% since 1999 for 24 years. Why would I not want to be in gold instead of stocks? In other words, cash, US Treasury gold, has outperformed. Why? Dow was 44 ounces of gold in 1999, excellent all time sell sector for stocks, buy signal for gold. Now Dow is 16 ounces of gold, down 64%. In IOUs up, in honest measures, gold, way down. It confuses me why we use dishonest measures, IOUs from private Fed instead of honest gold from US Treasury?

How can you use value stocks and the S&P 500 as a proxy for inflation?
@afonsodeportugal20 сағат бұрын
What would you use instead?
@itm_randy18 сағат бұрын
Great question, it goes back to understanding how inflation impacts growth. When investors are anticipating an increase in inflation, that means that the Fed will have to increase interest rates. An increase in rates will slow down future projects for companies to grow. Suddenly, investors don’t want growth names anymore so they rotate to something else.
@dennis632517 сағат бұрын
@@itm_randy Thank you. Makes sense. I sort of figured that, but in the back of my mind was thinking, "Shoot Chris, most of the time I prefer value and dividend stocks instead of growth stocks."

GREAT VIDEO, Chris, how are we going tp pay down the huge debt 30+trillion down?
9 сағат бұрын
The US government buys bitcoins with all of their tax revenues and keeps on issuing bonds to pay for services and buy more bitcoins. Following Saylor’s play. When Bitcoin becomes $1mm per coin the government liquidates just clears all debts. (And Satoshi becomes the world’s first multi trillionaire of course.). This is of course fiction as the Hindenburg omen got confirmed on Dec 13. So this movie may have a near term spike down.

@hop992021 сағат бұрын
Did he. Where's the video I wanna see it
@gentronseven18 сағат бұрын
Most of these guys only say the market is going to moon that's what their job is. It's so rarely wrong that I don't think they really bother looking at anything bearish because they are programmed to ignore it. But I don't mind having cash ratios that look more like Warren Buffett's because he is more likely to be correct. Taking a bunch of heavily lagging indicators and saying 40 PE stocks that make up half or more of the market are going to do well is pretty optimistic
@ericmodernel920522 сағат бұрын
You better be correct
