Fun fact: the part where he slapped himself wasn’t scripted, park jihoon (the actor for sieun) actually slapped himself 14 times. They had to give him an ice pack because his face was red and swollen, it’s most likely because he used method acting to get into character (just in case people don’t know, method acting is where you get into the mindset of the character to try and understand how they feel, how they live, and what they do.) He’s a really good actor!

I think by slapping himself he was slapping the anger back inside him. I think he was thinking "now I either do something to them right now or to myself to pull myself together“. But then he lost it the moment he knew that they affected his exam results which obviously hold a lot of meaning to him. He dedicates his life to studying for a reason and they unreasonably messed with it. So drugging him wasn’t even the worst thing they could do to him, but messing with his grades. He obviously has violent tendencies. I believe it’s because he always bottles everything in and family issues.

I think it was to clear his head. the drug makes your head fuzzy and disoriented, while on the drug you probably wouldn't be able to focus on the exam. so by slapping himself, he could get back to his senses and focus better.

*How could you not* connect the PE uniform being thrown away in one scene, the next scene everyone changing into PE uniforms, him searching his bag not finding something, him looking back at the bullies, them bullying him asking if something's missing and then him being the only one without a PE uniform??? And then them bullying him about smelling of sweat too because he had to use his clothes at PE. They made it as clear as they could that the bullies threw his PE uniform away.

In my opinion, I think if you guys are watching kdramas that are 6-8episode it is possible to do two different shows at the same time but if it is a drama that has 20 episodes like The Glory and Vincenzo then it's definitely hard especially since they both are long (1hr+).
