The Corinthian column is one of three main types of columns in classical architecture. The Corinthian helmet is the most iconic Greek helmet. The letters to Corinthians is the staple of the Eastern Orthodox service.

In the sixth grade I did a report on the Doric, Ionic and Corinthian column styles. Still got the mental images from that report.

Corinth was where Jason took Medea where he abandoned her. Seems Athenian playwrights liked to set their plays in cities hostile toward Athens. For such an important ancient city it does not seem to get the attention it deserves. Did Corinth have playwrights who wrote dramas and comedies?

What Korinth lacked in natural resources, they made up for with trade. Very industrious Greeks. If only they had the resources they lacked combined with their trade then they would have dominated at least 1 side of Greece, Be it the arcadians of northern Peloponnese or Eastern Greece of the atolians

This series on the different cities is just what the doctor ordered. You planning to do Thebes? That's my favorite. They're such a fucking meme city-state.

Maybe you can make a video about the emergence of the Romanian people. On one hand, there were the Byzantines who called themselves Romans, but who adopted Greek as their language, on the other hand there was a population North of the Danube who didn't call themselves Romans, but spoke a Latin language.

I was under the impression that Epidamnus was a colony of Corcyra. Corcyra was the first city that the people of Epidamnus went to ask for help. They only went to Corinth after Corcyra rejected them. Corcyra was the mother city. Corinth was more like the grandmother city to Epidamnus. I guess I'm wrong....

Epidamnos was a Korinthian colony which happened to be near Kerkyra. Kerkyra rose in prominence and its proximity made it a more natural place to turn for aid in times of need.

Her gravestone had a winged lion or a griffin or something like that on top, so even the monument that the Korinthians erected was not terribly helpful in determining what she looked like.
