People need to understand that virtually everyone that watches these will forget the details and that it ever happened within a day or two. If you can retain someone's interest, you can help them stay focused on the case instead of forgetting about it when the next video starts. Unfortunately we aren't all detectives so there is an interest aspect to these type of videos.

I had to stop 2.5 mins in just to say: When you choose to overlook the stories true crime YTers tell because you're not entertained and you complain about the story choice, you're doing a disservice to victims. Victims don't get to choose how they die. They don't get a say in their demise. Victims shouldn't have to hope, while living their final moments, that their death will be cinematic and exciting so that they're not forgotten. Every victim's story is important, no matter how dull and lacking their stories are. Please have some heart and consider that the friends and families of these victims read these comments and watch these videos. I cannot imagine what reading comments saying my loved one's death was boring would do to me emotionally and mentally. Man.

Prez Jausten Keep in mind that this story took place around the early to mid 1900s, so it was a different time. Adolescence wasn’t even defined until the early 1900s and studied at an in-depth level around 1950s-1980s. Until then, once a child hits 13-yr-old, that person is perceived to be an adult and treated accordingly. So, since the girl was 15 when she was with Brooks, she was considered an adult at the time. But I get what you mean.

Hopefully this isn't the main venue for bailey's research on cases but, even if, she's got more to her that'll keep me coming back.

When you’re into true crime you often come across the same stories, that’s to be expected, and hearing the same information repeatedly can be a little boring; but that’s not the uploaders fault. In fact I find a lot of the stories Bailey tells I haven’t heard before which is refreshing but one thing I really wanted to say was about the true crime story of that guy with schizophrenia decapitating that guy of the bus (I’m terrible with names and details off the top of my head but hopefully you can figure out which crime I mean), my point is I’ve heard that story a ridiculous amount of times but never the way you’ve told it, telling us about both the victim and criminal and I was impressed that you rehashed a commonly known story and made it fresh and exciting again and so really enjoyed that and all your videos. Just my take

I agree, the victims have been incredibly traumatized whether or not their story is as wild as some others. In fact, some pretty run of the mill stories can cause severe PTSD and ruin a life. Thanks for mentioning this Bailey.

02:05 thanks for the disclaimer. I totally agree with what you're saying. I mean, people- real people died. You are discussing the case, you are not narrating a fictional case. And if they are bored they can look elsewhere. I have commented in another video too, this series is very interesting, and I didn't know many of these crimes. Most of them are so brutal, I can't believe some people can commit such violence.

So I know this video is super old by now but I rewatch cuz I'm autistic and 'visiting people I like' is comforting. Even if it's these stories. It's more you Bailey that I'm here for. I like the company of a familiar voice. Especially as I'm a crafter it's really nice to have something engaging my mind and it's really hard to constantly find that kind of content that fits what I need. ANYWAY, I wanted to say that I am always impressed by all your videos. You're beautiful and you really do your research and really invest in the stories. That's something I've always struggled with with my autism and it's really fullfilling to see how you feel and react to things as it gives me a more realistic understanding rather then just hearing reports and statistics, ya know? So keep being you. You're awesome

If I honest, Ive loved true crime since I saw columbine happen live on tv. But I'd pick and choose what to watch because if they slowly bled to death.... Well I suppose it didn't catch my interest. It's awful to say. But I will admit it. Karma beat me for that one. Because I slowly bled to death over an 18 month period. I had a hole in my stomach that I was unaware of. Internal bleeding. And allow me to say... We all learn. Because never again will I consider slowly bleeding to death as lower on the scale. It's hella painful. Awful. We all have different interests. Some folks are only interested in the big crazy stories bc they're desensitized to the other stuff. Calling it uninteresting is a poor choice of words. So I do agree there.
