I recently tried to learn how to solve a 3x3 blindfolded but the problem was i couldn't even memorize the cube and I got really discouraged by that. So I ended up giving up. However, this video has motivated me and now I think that it will take some time but i think i can do it. Thank you Tingman for being such an inspiration.❤ Edit: A miracle just happened. After I commented this I tried again after 2 months and I GOT MY FIRST EVER SUCCESS!!!!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

I learned 3BLD for fun about a year ago, and liked it so much that I decided to try 4BLD for a challenge. It took like 4 attempts, but I finally did it in 36 minutes and it was so worth the journey. Then a miracle happened: when I tried 5BLD, I FIRST TRIED IT! I remember being so shocked that I immediately got the rush to try 6BLD. Of course, it was much harder, but after one painful fail, I did it in about 2 hours. I did try 7BLD afterwards, but my first attempt was so tiring and long that I just gave up. This video gives me the motivation to try again!

Tingman, I know it's been a while since you've uploaded (and I'vee for the first time seen) this video, but I just wanted to say that I have just now found how this video has motivated me. After 5 years of cubing now, I'm deciding to finally learn 3BLD. Your concentration, dedication, and perseverance through these solves, as well as the story in general has really motivated me to make my own success story. I guess you could say that this is the first step. Wish me luck!

Hi Tingman! This video inspired me to start learning more. I know that sounds broad, but it's true. I just learned how to solve a 3x3 from your tutorial (recommended by KardTrickKid) and it was exactly what I needed. Clear, direct instructions and ways to remember. Now, I average about 1:10 and am learning 2x2 as well. This video inspired me to start learning F2L and take cubing more seriously. And you are right: the best days are still to come. :) Edit: I now average about 50 seconds with beginner's method, and am getting better at beginner CFOP. I also have ordered a 4x4!

After one 3x3 blindsolve I have to wait for hours until my 54 year old brain is reset for the next cube. Otherwise old and new memo mix together to a great mess. So the only thing I hope for at the next competition is a 3bld success (between 7 and 10 minutes). Until now I never had a mean of 3 in the Weekly Competition, even if I do each attempt on annother day. But nice to hear you speaking about old brains, my son. :-D

Congrats, especially on your 4BLD mean! I also got a success on my first official 4BLD solve and almost got a mean as well, but missed it by two center pieces :'( At that time there were only like 112 people in the world with an official mean and getting the mean would have been my best rank BY FAR. By now I had two rounds of 4BLD and in both I got 2 of 3 right. I did A LOT more attempts before my first comp and had A LOT more successful solves at home than you, so wow, that is big! :D Good luck with your sub-3 3BLD mean, you'll get it soon and it'll be much faster than your solves right now =)

Thx! Yeah, before the comp I didn't expect to get so close at all, but after the first solve went so well, I was getting excited and thinking I might be able to pull it off. My one and only goal for the comp was a 4BLD success, which I got with the very first solve on the first day. So, while I was a little bit bummed that I didn't get the mean, I was still super excited and happy that I got a success at all. And I also managed to get lots of other PBs, including a sub-2 3BLD mean, which kinda came out of nowhere after pretty much practising 4BLD exclusively before the comp :D One day I'll also get the 4BLD mean :)
