The Wearable Intelligence System is an open source personal intelligence amplification tool and humanistically intelligent system. The system runs on a pair of AR/smart glasses and presents the user with intelligent audio and visual information. Users benefit from a suite of tools that can be used in the real world while developers benefit from a system that provides a smart glasses app backend.

This is exactly what I want. Add in turn by turn directions for GPS navigation and the ability to read and answer texts and calls and I will be in line to buy some. This is more valuable than big screen TV or VR style AR glasses.

Yep very cool, unfortunately the whole "texting on your glasses" is still kindof bad UI and ussually people end up just taking out their phone.

This is awesome! With AR Glasses HMDs being all the rage right now, I'm surprised I haven't seen more personal cognitive enhancement use-cases.

@@caydengineer I pulled your repo onto my local env, still in the process of looking at it (i have a day job so...). How do you manufacture the hardware tho? do you outsource it to a third party company?

@@thewolfofswingthat2035 The hardware is a Vuzix Blade, you can buy right now: www.vuzix.com/products/vuzix-blade-smart-glasses-upgraded We've designed the system to support multiple types of Android smart glasses (but Blade is officially supported). See the docs for more details: github.com/emexlabs/WearableIntelligenceSystem/wiki/ If you have further questions, please email me: cayden@emexwearables.com

You make me wonder if we'll have an interface like the one shown in the movie Anon.
@caydengineer
@caydengineer 2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for mentioning it, I watched the movie to check it out. Our system is based on user empowerment and control, which is inherent in the technical design and open source nature. I think Anon focused too much on government control, and didn't really present many/any real use cases of a HUD and BCI!

@@caydengineer Pity! I have two Iphones due to work...and other devices. Would be tough to switch over. Or have another device to charge atop everything else. Still, I appreciate the work your doing. Incredible talent.

I saw a set of gaming glasses that had speakers that go around the neck. On Amazon of course. Would be cool if it could speak out a reply in my voice either from me speaking a low emition reply or from selecting from a list of standard replies.

These devices aren't that great save up your money for a vacation trip for this matter you can take two trips to China and back if you wanted to the screen sizes aren't that big either and the FOV on them sucks just get an Oculus Quest II or wait for the Oculus Quest II Pro.
@caydengineer
@caydengineer Жыл бұрын
Regarding Vuzix Blade vs. Oculus Quest... this is apples and oranges. The Blade is an AR device with focus as smart glasses (i.e. a HUD) as opposed to immersion. Conversely, the Quest is a VR headset with focus on immersion, gaming, etc. The Blade is close to an all-day wearable device that you can use in the real world, whereas Quest/VR-devices cannot. If you want gaming/immersion - go for VR like you said. But if you are trying to augment daily life (like the use cases demo'ed here) then ARSG is the way to go.
