Join us on a picturesque walk along the banks of the river Wear.
Our journey takes us from the village of Westgate following the river upstream to St Johns Chapel.

Lovely recording - I live not far from this end of the Dale & have been exploring the lanes & tracks there for many years but will never tire of them & always appreciate folks putting up recordings like this. Fabulous part of the world, I'm out there again this weekend.

What a beautiful place to walk, Bramble seemed to be enjoying it as well. Forgive me for thinking it would of been funny if Claire slipped on the stones coz you could of got £250 if Beadle was still around. 😆. Great video as always buddy. Atb Stuart

Thanks Stuart, much appreciated mate. It's a stunning place and has so many amazing sights we have a good few walks to share on future videos. One I'm really looking forward especially on a sunny day with the Lapwings and Curlews calling. Those stepping stones were fairly slippy she was pleased to get off safely 🤣🤣. Mind £250 would be nice. Thank you for your kind words, it greatly appreciated. It's definitely a well worth while walk we always enjoy it. I'm sure your grandkids would like this one especially in the summer. The pool is called ham pool and is a big hit with families in the warmer weather. Yeah those stepping stones were a bit slippery. We definitely enjoyed the few beers went down to well. It's a really nice walk buddy, one we do daily almost if we are up that way for any length of time. There used to be a little water wheel to once over. The guy who built it definitely has some talent and passion. We enjoyed that pint or two a great way to enjoy a chilly day 👍👍👍 Thanks for watching buddy 🙂
