I’d keep Philips, Moore, Donley & Lankshear and play in Europa, early round of cups (depending on opposition) and off bench in a few Prem games. Then can loan out 2nd half of season if needed / depending on injuries and Jan transfer window. Think they would learn a lot more by training with Ange & rest of Spurs squad for 6 months at least.

locelso is a very good footballer, but system is very key. At argentina he plays more of an 8, supporting role for Messi/alvarez being able to link up in midfield and make late runs into the box. At spurs he would be expected to be more front footed, and also more box to box defender. Not a winger.

There are only two paradigms in decent skilful football: wingbacks (5-3-2, 5-2-3, 4-3-1-2, diamond 4-4-2) often over inside forwards (4-2-3-1, Christmas tree, whatever Xabi A. has been doing with 2x10s.) Tottenham have done well this window by bringing in wonderkids and Solanke. The latter shouldn't be compared to Kane. This is arguably the first time in ages that Levy has actually backed a manager in their second summer (see how the likes of Conte, Mourinho and Pochettino were hung out to dry). But I still see them finishing 4th or 5th..at best 3rd this season due to the holes in their squad. In Ange they do have a hard-nosed personality. But the PL is getting ever so competitive at the top end and only one team can win a trophy in the end. In my view, once Pep leaves City (or City are get relegated), I think that there would be a vacuum at the top, if Ange gets a good plan B and Spurs get their act together..they could not just be up there in the league but perhaps knick a cup here and there.
