Thanks for watching! You can participate in the next part of this project by suggesting what numbers should I dig up next. Tell me how you see it. Remember though, the more artificial it is, the longer it'll take for mother nature to chew it.

I’d like to see meat representing human flesh.. to get an idea how long it takes mother Earth to dissolve flesh in different circumstances, such as dry or damp soil/ water or Clay earth? A bit more morbid I think🤣. I know it depends on Embalming and Environment of burial.. America have body farms, The UK have pig farms.. Martin can have pork chop and chicken drumstick farms. I would even Chuck in a sausage🤣

And here I am spending HOURS trying to age up some clothes for a zombie costume?! Seems like I just need to take some clothes, bury them in August and go back for them around Halloween, no fuss, no muss! Thanks! 😁👍

Seems about right. The downside is, that they smell awful and you leave a mess behind you wherever you go.

Definitely interesting! Keep in mind though that there's a lot of different factors that go into it so there's no clear cut universal answer it really just comes down to the luck of the draw- the decomposing remains, the soil type, how dry or wet it is (for example I live in South Carolina a coastal state were it gets really humid and hot with only maybe 2 or 3 months were it's cold but even then rarely goes below 50 degrees and the exhumations i've heard of happening here were never good and most or all of the remains were long gone), the type of material the clothing is made of, even the chemicals in the remains from being preserved if they're more modern, etc. I'm a big history nerd and i've lost count how many hundreds to thousands of years old clothing i've come across that was well preserved. They found an undergarment from I believe the 1300's or 1400's possibly earlier in a German castle, a 1600's dress in a ship wreck under water, there's even a famous image of boots lying on the sea floor at the wreck of the Titanic that came from someone that sadly passed on it, clothing from Ancient Egypt (and wigs and food too on top of many more amazing things!), preserved clothing on top of insanely well preserved remains of bronze aged people, seen lots of royals exhumed dating from the 900's to 1700's with still well preserved clothing, the Capuchin Catacombs in Italy house a lot of really well preserved clothing and remains dating from the 1400's/1500's up until the last burial in the 1920's (with all expect one being natural), the Franklin expedition remains on Beachy Island dating from the 1840's are insanely well preserved even more so their clothes looks like they just died recently, etc. But on the flip side like I said before in my state within barely a few decades everything will be gone or almost gone and yet some other places will have remains and clothing lasting hundreds to thousands of years and even look at dinosaur fossils went excited 65+ millions year ago and are still here. Amazing when you think about it 😊

Thanks! What a great lengthy elaborate comment. I'll check some of the stuff that you've wrote about later. There are tons of factors at play here, as you pointed yourself so the goal of this was to show that it can go faster than one might think. The whole circle of life is fascinating but I still don't understand why one would opt out of it by being embalmed and in a vault. I don't get the point of that. BTW, I'm thinking about an exhibition with my clothes. Could be interesting for people to see.

Hello Martin polski. You are right. I had think that clothes would last much longer with no rotting corpse to rot them. I think deeper in ground last longer less water. You change name of Martin show! I think yes you are crazt a little but you sure are no fool! Very smart! Good day to you

You can always find out if a fabric is a natural fibre or synthetic by holding a piece of the fabric over a flame, fibre burns, synthetic melts… I predict the cotton will rot, the synthetic will be fine, plastic doesn’t rot much if at all!
