Jordan brand has some real underrated models- that large forefoot unit reminds me of the Westbrook 0.2, nice and chunky. Will be interesting to see how these perform- the three Zion shoes are all drastically different- these look more like a guard shoe, the previous models were heftier in stature. The J38 this year hasn’t been that appealing, I’m still loving my J36s- but it looks like the Zion 3 just jumped to the top of the list

Have a narrow foot and these are the most narrow shoes I’ve ever worn. Traction was really good but a lot of dust pickup as the rubber compound they used is very sticky out the box. I really like them so far but if ur a wide footer I would stay away. Maybe a shoe stretcher could help but idk the upper materials are pretty damn stiff.

I rmb kuzma rolled ankle in LAKERS PLAYING THE kobe 4s protro, I think it was major impact for the outrigger of the midfoot on the zion 3! Thats a part of engineering that helps to secure extreme deceleration side foot planting!

I feel like the Zion and Luka line has been mixed up...The Luka 2 looks a lot like the Zion 2, where this one (Zion 3) looks like the next model to the Luka 1, even the outsole reminds me of the Luka 1. Very minimal shoe for a big guy like Zion.

Just picked these up from foot locker yesterday before a hoop sesh. They were a little tight at first, but after a few games they felt great. If you don’t know what to hoop in. These are def a solid choice. 👌🏻

These joints look mad techy but sleek at the same time🔥🔥🔥. Zion 2’s are bangers also. My barefoot has its own mid foot outrigger and it even piles on extra skin for me to friction off - if I was walking barefoot it’s weird but true.

I think that's a great trade-off on the zoom unit size, still covers a lot of area and I think volume is more important when it comes to the use of Zoom Air.

I got mine. Usually between a 10.5-11 for nike hoop shoes. Got 11 to be safe and theyre painfully tight on my feet. Lengthwise theyre about right, tiny bit big but theyre so narrow. Traction also was horrible, though i hoop on a very dusty court. My friend said he was fine though on a slightly better court.

Nike associate here. The overlay on the upper is based off of mud and what Zion says with "coming out of the mud". Just a fun fact for anyone interested in it and trying to understand its purpose. Also what we taught is supposed to provide Zion and the player more lockdown in the shoe.

The story about mud has zero to do with performance. The material is there to add durability to build as you’d rip through the textile with your laces if the TPU wasn’t there. Nike’s marketing for its own products has gone way downhill.

The shoe does take a bit to break in due to the material. The forefront is cushion is light and very low to the ground.

Returned mine. Super narrow shoe so theyre very unfriendly (painful!!!) for wife feet. My experience with traction was horrible, though i hoop on a dusty court. My friend had a different experience with traction on a slightly better court, so i guess it varies. Imo theres no court feel, i feel super high off the ground and the shoes feel a bit clunky around the heel. Looks are 10/10 though and i hope they make these available in a wide fitment soon but for now, theyre going back to nike

I believe there’s a progression of the line with his path on the league the ones we’re slick and light but that could hold him then we get the twos bulky just like his weight gain with good cushion for his knees now we got the ones again but like 2023 tech and higher cost version if he gets a 4th dig it should be like the 2nd just less weight

Tried these on yesterday and the drop ins outer lip is thicker than any Kobe midsole, which is why you have the wide footers heated about fit, it’s not a good or bad thing, just that it takes up more room inside the shoe, I’d recommend going up a half size, the heel counter is robust and you won’t get any slipping I don’t think.

I’ve been waiting for the review prior to buying one, but bought it first and kinda disappointed with the fits, super narrow, to the extend it hurts my pinky toe! I was expecting to feel like Kobe line or at least wow 8v3 and all city 11. By far the way of wade is much better. Nike really needs to step up their game.
