I was waiting on you to do this review, I caught a pair on the day they released online, waiting for them to ship to my house. I appreciate your take on them were the same age basically I’m a couple years older than you are so I remember all this stuff as it came out I remember being a junior in high school when the first Foamposits came out and I live in Central Florida, so Penny was my guy, they were unattainable back then but now I’m glad I got a pair of the PE’s that were on the cover of basketball pro magazine. Been waiting your review on this shoes for few days, thanks for your work. This is my first pair of foamposite one that i really wear it (been keeping the Olympic foam in the box). Agree the toe down view is not really impressive to me but the profile view is freaking amazing. Surprisingly i found the leather going with the shoes quite well (althought i prefer nubuck if i could). Anyway, although it is not actually the PE, but it is the closest that we have and it is still amazing.

I was in grade 11 in 1997 when the OG blue Foamposite Penny's came out. A kid in my English class came to school one day wearing them lol. I asked how much he paid for them? He said $250 CDN, which was about $180 US at the time. And I thought Jordan's were expensive at the time lol.

This is my first pair of foams. I picked them up from phenom since I'm in the Sacramento area. I had to take a bus and a lightrail to get them. Guess that tells you how hype I am on the shoe. I'm just loving the shoes that were once unobtainable but are now coming out. I'm still waiting on getting the watch the thrones. Love your channel and Sacramento needs more discord pick up games.

Love foams, just got the black “dream a world” and I’m crazy happy about em, they’re comfy as shit, and get better with wear, they don’t crease and they’re easy to clean. Solid ass release!

I've had numerous pairs of foams (im from DC so yeah) and each pair has had to be broken in and didn't feel comfortable until I wore them about 10 to 12 times. I even have a pair of the low foam tennis ones but they fit completely different and I think it's because they're meant for tennis and not basketball. They're also muuuuch lighter than the pros or ones.

I copped my pair today.. I actually like the leather better on these. It looks good against the white and gives it more of a premium look especially for that price tag.. but overall it’s a clean shoe and they fire.. I haven’t bought a pair of foams since the Holograms foams a few years back

Great review, I own a pair of 2011 Royal Blues and the NuBuck leather is deteriorating on the eyestays. I recently got the Foamposite Doernbechers and the leather definitely looks like it will last. I copped these as well and can't wait for them to arrive. I missed the smell of Foamposite glue!

I wear a 12 in Jordans and can even go down to an 11.5 in most air maxes but my toes are right at the end of the shoe. Hopefully it molds to my foot better the more I break em in as I love this shoe

I actually love the leather upgrade, aesthetically wise. Plus it will, imo, age well than the nubuck, which “powders”. Had my foamposite pro spiderman, and the nubuck is not looking good as it age.

FYI nubuck is top grain leather at least. This is synthetic leather. I wouldn’t necessarily call it an upgrade in terms of material. But maybe the synthetic leather will last longer. I would call it a downgrade and it’s a shame the price doesn’t reflect that. I still want a pair tho.
