Nice video. I as a younger person in my early teens was very good shot. I shot in the cadets for a while and would happily hit five or so spot bulls out of ten 2" targets at 25 metres with a .22 rimfire. As I got older I was in the forces and loved the opportunity to shoot with larger calibres. My best shot was 750mts with a 7.62. I loved this vid as it took me back to my personal training of breathing, holding, waiting and just touching the trigger for the shot and keeping the same position until the recoil ended to know that I had shot where I wanted the shot to go. I somehow should have kept up competition shooting but never had the resources and wish that I could now have a go at rifle shooting again. I never used a scope and had to rely on iron sights. Nice vid and a trip down memory lane for myself. Cheers JC!

Still a great pump gun even though it is mostly plastic, kzbin.infoUgkxh4su9YgU1tWmjikirWcKJbjsFLEU62Bc but with care it will last a long time. It would be neat if Crosman would make a commemorative version of this with real wood stock, but of course it would weigh more and cost more, but hey, it would be cool. The included scope is more of a toy, but it does work for backyard plinking. I prefer to use pellets for greater accuracy, but BBs are just as good for plinking. This is not a Red Ryder folks; fully pumped it is 3 times the power of a Red Ryder and can be dangerous if not handled properly. Be safe out there.

I’ve got the Carbonmark Pro in 6.5 Weatherby RPM and it’s worth ever penny. It’s a great shooting rifle that’s very accurate when the user does their job. Factory ammo is great but handloading takes it to the next level. Glad you got to try one out. They are not appreciated like they should be.

I hate to say this, but once you mentioned how the bipod mount was going in the stock I thought to myself “self I wonder if the metal reinforcing bar runs the length of the stock” 🫣 Great video as always and love that you actually fessed up to the 🤬🤬

I’ve invested 2 grand in a steel action lol. There’s a lot of custom action makers that refuse to even offer titanium, as they say there are some inherent issues. Now we are seeing steel/aluminum that’s about at the titanium weight without the flaws of titanium.

Looks like the scope power ring is hitting your Talley mounts. I have same problem with my Vortex scopes. Had to Dremel some of the mounts off and touch it up with Alumiblack.

Well, I guess a hand drill is usually a step up from a brace and bit, but they're really good at jumping around or twisting like a struck gyroscope when they find a surprise. Maybe a good Taiwanese vertical mill will follow you home some day. ;-)

@@tgsoutdoors ofc you have cooper, Dakota, and a few other brands, but the weatherby mark v is the rifle most guys dream of. At 3,900 usd for their top model, it definitely isn’t for the average person. Also the weatherbys cartridges are quite expensive. 5-10 dollars a shot can be hard on the pocket book.

It's a rifle. Hard for Weatherby to predict how it will be accessorized with various scopes, bipod, etc., so a prefitted case would likely end up wasted $.

@@funkla65 I am sure the engineers at Weatherby can figure out a nice functional box, you know nicely packaging a product, especially an expensive one, is not a bad idea, anything but a plain cardboard!
@tgsoutdoors
@tgsoutdoors 2 жыл бұрын
It’s a tough one, and one I have complained at manufacturers for before however the same feedback comes from them all: 1 - 97% of people throw the packaging away 2 - posh cardboard is less environmentally friendly and not recyclable 3 - wouldn’t you rather we spent that money on the product. I would love to see this rifle delivered in a fit all flight case, but would be apprehensive of paying £250 extra for the privilege

hey community, l'm on the way to buying a 308 or 300 rifle and would like to get a second opinion. browning x bolt speed, weatherby mark v hunter, model 307 meateater, bergara b-14. I like to shoot at long range, hunting, of course the weapon has to shoot well (precisely) and it should be long-lasting and not get hot too quickly

The MK V Deluxe will always be the best weatherby. No synthetics. No aluminum (fine rifles' nemesis.) Polished bluing & good walnut in WBY Mag cals. Id have thought more your style. I have a .340. Less $ for real materials😃 unless one gets a safari custom.

you dont need a mag on a hunting rifle. All it does is add complexity and noise to the operation. If you need that many extra bullets you need to put the rifle down.
