For this year's moose hunt, I bought the Weatherby vanguard in 270win. Dropped a small bull 244kg 537lb .... on the 26/09/2023 7:20am , ..... accuracy is awesome in these rifles, from a cold barrel. ....

It's funny to hear you talk about the safety lever. I went to look at one of these today and got the same impression. Just seems a little subpar compared to the rest of the rifle.

Hey, I really like how you did this review! No attitude, just a regular guy giving us good info! The safety seems to be a shortcoming with Weatherby's, like you say, it could have been done better. Not a make or break issue though. These rifles are surprisingly good looking, they make the standard Weatherby Sporter with a wood stock and bit underwhelming.
