Hey WHOTEEWHO, what is that Cheap but Good Customish Bolt Action Rifle you made and had on the Channel. I know the Video was from around the time you uploaded the 2nd Video of the Stag Arms Pursuit Bolt Action Rifle, but I can't seem to find which video it was specifically. It had the Website Info in it, and I'm doing some looking around because of the Current Strike Down of the BS Illinois Law.

Not entirely Budget Friendly when you add in the Adjustable Butt, but for what it is and how Light the Price is still Cheaper than 90% or so of the Custom Chassis out there. Precision Rifle and a Hunting is what you get with that Chassis. Seen just a couple of People have put the Savage Impulse Straight into the Ultra Dine Chassis. Results looked promising.

Yes I’ve cycled the bolt on almost every gun on the market. Your forgetting that the vanguard is $500. You won’t find better for that price tag. Comparing a $2500 hunt to a $500 gun in this sense is a bit silly. We’re talking about budget guns here

I run the same rest and bag. I found that I was more comfortable a little higher in the rear. I also struggled a little with the sling mount. I cut a 2x6 into a wedge and slide the wedge in before i squeeze the bag. Absolutely love it now.

A mate of mine uses ppu 308 in his weatherby vanguard and has no issues, shoots under moa. The funny part is he has very limited shooting experience and he never adjusted the scope from the shop bore sighting and shoots moa easy lol

I have weatherby vanguard in 6.5 300, bought it for 300 used from a hunter that couldn't afford the ammo. I will say, it is the most accurate and flat shooting rifle that I have shot. If you are up for reloading casings, this rifle and cartridge combo is a godsend.

Got me a Who Tee Who buck this morning in middle GA Had a buck come up a steep ridge not even 15 yards in front of me and finally saw movement as I slowly raised my gun. After blew and ran i yelled Who Tee Who and stopped him at 50 yards and dropped. Same thing happened yesterday but with about 8 does and couldn't get on him so for some reason yesterday I had a premonition to yell Who Tee Who if that happened again just so I could comment about it. Funny looking 5 point. No shame in my ground game. Poor feller had never been hit with the old Who Tee Who before. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

When you start reloading, use the 117-120 grain bullets and H-4831. Start at the mid range loading and go up. Teeny tiny groups with that powder and bullet weight. I am VERY fond of Sierra bullets but you could try others.

Its not "some of you call it pronghorn" thats what it is. Antelope keep there horns for life and are part of the Bovidae family, as in cows, sheap, goats, bison. While pronghorn shed yearly and are the last living member of the family Antilocapridae.

Love the 25/06 I always used 100g nosler partition over 52 or 53g of h4350 or imr4350 the h4350 in cold weather one question why when u have a bad squeeze or flyer u don't put another shot 4shots to see if it's you I do that a bunch with my 257magnum it seems to do the 2 in a hole then throws one get u some reloads u will luv accuracy can't wait for next video got suggestions for reloads been shooting 25/06 for 48yrs thanks whootee

WTH,I have a vanguard in 7mm magnum.Bought it in 1990 for 350.00 on sale.Put a Leoupold 3x9x40 scope on it. 3 shot groups cover them with a nickle. I have taken 2 elk,and more whitetails than I can count. I have never sighted it in again since 1990. It's my go to rifle,and I have many.

I had a Model 700 in 25-06 that loved 120 Core Lokts. If it’s wasn’t cheaper to shoot hand loaded ammo, I would have used the Core Lokts.

I will never stop getting a kick out if hearing " catching a deer" . If you didn't know ,Weatherby vangard is the howa 1500 in a few weatherby specific chamberings and setups . .257 weatherby is one and is an amazing choice for deer ,black bear even up to elk. The rifles are very well made ,though perhaps on the heavier side of modern bolt guns . The results shown are typical for accuracy and one who does their part should have no issues taking big game out to 400+ yards with propper bullet selection( bullet means projectile ,not the whole cartridge).

Personally, I think it is inconsistent ammo loadings by the factory and lack of quality. Would be nice to see what it can do with a higher quality loading., I bet the rifle will hold tight groups. Some good high bc bullets in .257 now being offered for reloading. Maybe some Federal Fushion 120 gr. Bonded would get you some consistent sub MOA groups.

It's just a black S2 vanguard. It comes in weatherby calibers just like other vanguatlrds. I have one in 6.5-300 and love it just like the gray S2

I think its the rifle on those larger groups. I think your a very good shot and think how much your crosshairs would have to move to move an inch? nah, its just the rifle. Also, people don't realize how hard it is to get 3/4" groups at 100...not easy

.25-06 is a great cartridge, but I've been thinking a lot about the .257 Weatherby Magnum. I'd like to be able to shoot Hornady's new heavy .25 cal bullets but the Vanguard Obsidian is only a 1/10 twist rate and I'm afraid it might not stabilize that long heavy bullet.

Yea I just started reloads with my Remington 700 in 257mag tac driver can't find brass and factory loads 100 bucks brass is 60 bucks and I only get 4 reloads if u run max loads

Just went out and bought one in .308. Put 5 rounds in and ran them all through the action a few times. At the end i noticed the brass cases and copper jackets were scratched up pretty bad. I looked into the chamber with a light and the lip had brass shavings all around it, I rubbed my finger around it and did not feel any burrs. Did your rifle do this too, like a break in thing, or was yours fine?
