I went out into the city with a 5’9 Congolese model with a giant Afro (wig) and all the bartenders we came across hit on her and gave us free drinks. I was a baldie then and it was the first time I ever contemplated getting an Afro wig for attention.

I don't know about getting into clubs, but I do think that being yourself should be the default. Sometimes, we really do waste our pretty privilege trying to be a bootleg version of someone else.

I love my natural hair but I won’t lie though, the first time I went to the club with my natural hair I low-key felt under-dressed but I got so many compliments (especially about my hair). I got free drinks as well and a lot of people were asking for my number or insta. It really was just all in my head cause I was not expecting that kind of attention. They really surprised me lol 😂

I think it depends on the type of club you’re at. Different hairstyles and fashion attract different types of men. A ghetto, hood Black male is looking usually looking for a woman who fits a certain criteria: long, straight hair or wavy/loose curl pattern.. Another thing is, some women haven’t found the right natural hair style or cut that enhances their unique beauty. I see some women that look absolutely stunning with a big fro. But I can’t seem pull it off. So I stick to braid outs and low pony tails, which makes me feel very basic looking. Maybe she hasn’t figured out how style her natural hair in a flattering way.

Natural hair or not if you’re not society beauty/ fit beauty standards then you’re not getting in to the club free or getting free drinks or anything of that nature. If you don’t have a good face then it’s a wrap for you (I should know from experience 🙂↕️) your hair just adds to it and texturism and hair length plays a big role in it as well but that’s just the world we live in so I don’t care 🤷🏾♀️ If I have to pay then I’ll pay not point in crying bc the girl in front of me got in for free ❤

Oh please, I’m dark skin with 4C hair. I get free drinks, entry to the club, and food for free 😂 granted it’s the upscale places. I’m not looking for free shit at a predominantly Black club though. Certain type of men take a mile when you give an inch. However I’ve gotten free drinks there too 🤷🏾♀️

But how do you wear your natural hair cute for bedtime for your man? He likes my natural hair but doesn’t like the twists and the bonnets… says I look like his mother 🫤
@adoxgraphy10127 күн бұрын
You are just as sexy while protecting your crown . If he really think you resemble his mother because of a bonnet he has a different problem and he can buy you satin sheets if it's that much of an issue. Your natural hair will not be as cute if it's not protected and you're a human being you are not required to be sexy 24/7. The occasional bonnet will not stop a man that is attracted to you.
@dovehaven484027 күн бұрын
My first thought was it couldn't be me. 😂However, it's not me, it's you. I'd pull your twist back into a pony tail(bobby pin the ones that don't stretch). A loose bun/puff(put a thick headband on so the sides of your hair don't rub too much. Get silk/satin pillowcases, sleep on your side.. hopefully you aren't restless when you sleep. Head wraps usually look pretty. If your hair is short just sleep on it and shake and go in the morning. I'd like to also say he is going to have to meet you in the middle. If he truly loves natural hair he'd respect reasonable overnight maintenance. If he starts talking no headwraps, overnight banding, headbands, no silk pillowcases, no twist period or doesn't like that your hair doesn't look as good as it usually does after switching methods... he sucks

get silk sheets/pillows so u can go to bed with ur hair unwrapped. but still do protective style. also u can ignore his preferences lol cus if he was tryna grow his locs or protect his waves he'd be wearing a bonnet too.
