agreed. you really have to be pushing the envelope of DSP/Synthesis like Vital is doing. or make something completely unique and new like some new granular synthesis method or complex physical modeling. but all subtractive/additive/phase distortion/wavetable/FM synths have already been made. You have to bring something new and unique to the table which requires really smart people with background in DSP algorithms and math etc

10 bucks a month is ALOT for a single synth plugin, I subscribe to slate digital and its 10 bucks a month. Comes with every single plugin they have including their Ana 2 synth plugin which includes a ton of presets AND a chord generator, and it also comes with a ton of free sample packs and access to their entire series of production courses. Just comparing apples to apples, 10 bucks a month is ridiculous.

it's 10 bucks a month?! dude he has to 100% drop that wayyyy down. people are not gunna pay that much for a single vst, AND it's not even an established brand, which even then would be somewhat insane. i could see like 20 a year or something, and even then, just sell the thing for 30 / 40 bucks and be done with it. the sales / profit will be 10-20 times more. talkin about 3-400 people having it, vs. Tens of thousands. i'd even just give away the first version for free, no strings attached. just surprise everyone with the quality, then get them hooked and offer v2 with more features for $ but still able to DL full version for free without the upgrades. that's how it will really blow up imo

It looks like a crypto bro redesigned omnisphere. On first glance, it seems OK, but nothing special. - Subscription is a deal breaker. - Using labels like "Vibe" means he either doesn't know the actual term to use, or he thinks you don't. Or maybe he likes to redefine words. Idk. + The presets appear to be good, potentially excellent. Even though I won't ever do subscriptions like this, I'm curious what more of the presets sound like. If you just do presets, forget this subscription BS and get Playbox from Native Instruments. -/+ 4GB in size...Omnisphere is 50GB+, meaning this is either much lower in quality, or much more limited in scope. Probably the later. But the relatively small size could be good for laptop producers. On the other hand, workstation producers generally have ample space for ginormous sound libs, so yeah, 4GB might be underwhelming. I dunno. Seems like Playbox is the better choice. Death to software subscriptions.

Kyle beats plugins are the definition of style over substance. When Vital exists you really have to provide something more tangible in a synth to justify its existence. A gimmick will no longer cut it. More development was needed in how it sounds and plays. Also the presets needed to be top notch to show what its actually capable of. The concept does have some potential. But the execution was lacking.

Totally. Vital is the bar and that bar is high. I get being creative, but man... workflow is king and when you are creating something, who wants to spend tons of time screwing around with 1 track on a project that has over 100 tracks. You need quality sounds out of the gate and being able to quickly - either - choose a preset or design a sound is gold. If I can't work out something in a day on a 1 track, I will come back to it weeks later. Typically, I start out by changing out the synth I wasted time on.

There are a lot of red flags in the video and on the website. The fact that there is NO INFO about the price on the website is so shady. You actually have to give him your email to get the info, its insane. Also there is no (obvious) reason (exept for making money) why this would be subscription based. Is there an AI under the hood that needs to be fed which is why the plugin has to communicate with a server or what? If there is an actual reason why this is necessary, he should be transparent about it. And it's not possible to actually buy it with a one time playment either, only subcription? The video and the website remind me a lot of Unison Audio tbh. I like Kyle but this does not make a good impression. Playbox by Native Instruments is more powerful, it has better samples (you can throw in your own one shots as well), way better effects and great chords. You even have more control over the multiple instruments and layers. Right now its 99€ and you can keep it forever. So if you want a plugin that does the same but better, get Playbox.
