i wasn't exactly expecting the bleed knot to wow me as much as it did. i mean, i honestly kind'a rolled my eyes at it at first... but no, i'll admit that's cool and super easy. :D

I have a very good friend who owns a leather shop. He gives remnants to me when I ask. Right now, I have 4 plastic totes filled with great remnants. Some pieces show the bad spots, but most are just remnants from sofas, chairs, etc. I feel very blessed.

Thank you so much. I knew there must be a good way of making leather earrings without having to buy a cricut machine because people have been working with leather for centuries. But every time I try it find a leather earring tutorial, all these cricut machine videos pop up. Thanks for showing me how to do this using hand tools.

The only project I had thought to make with my remnant bag so far is the natural horsemanship style rein guards that protect your rope reins and fit on the rings of the bit. I liked how mine turned out, but things were getting a bit dicey with the knife there, so I would love to see an easier (and safer) way to make them. The first project shown would already make a great bit keeper, though. Some people don't realize that a breakable section where the rein attaches to the bit can prevent a rider from getting entangled in case of a fall.
